You can make a PC that is able to comfortably play any modern game on high graphical settings for ~$600. If you're willing to compromise, or scavenge components from your old PC, you can take that down to $400 quite easily. Up to $800 is enough to play the latest AAA titles on maximum settings at solid 60/144. Anything over that is just futureproofing.

Necromancers/vampires and the events they participate mostly occur in and around humans.

Dorfs magic resistance probably plays some part.

R2-Attila won't take any S2 man, ship, and animal models - it'll simply crash. Not sure about artillery and building models though.

They use tactics of course, but the general consensus is that a flesh puppet should be spooking the living in melee and handing out and receiving blows to best take advantage of their nature. Rather than doing something which requires unrealistic amounts of fine motor control for them and yields almost no benefit.

I then went on to cite examples of VC military doctrine under Mannfred, which supports my claims. And I threw in Kemmler as well, because paired with Mannfred we have the TWW VC roster of legendary lords, and he happens to have necromatic powers and ambition to compete with great vampires as well as behave similarly.

Oh yeah, its easy to say lazy at modding attempts when you're only an end user of mods.

Here's the fact:
There are only handful of serious modders remaining in the S2 scenes, anon, and they are all one-man shows without modding teams, only occasional freelance contributors giving stuff like battlemaps and such.

And there are still hurdles on S2 modding, such as 100% Japanese campaign mechanics, Ship models, and Battlefield maps.

Here's the situation of the modders who still gives a fuck with S2:

Primergy: Working on American Civil War mod. Can model units and buildings, and creates great models. One man show, but have connection to older ACW modders from ETW and NTW scene. Have some contributors creating battlemaps who depend on him fully for new building models. Do not port ETW/NTW building models, prefers to build his own, for some reason. Made his own Northern America map.

However, he got slower, his Northern American map lost when his comp got busted, and ACW-specific Ironclads are still hard to make even if he have the skills to create the rigidmodel appearance. Still essentially an one man show.

Uanime5: Finished Morning Sun mod. Can't model, only converts any model he can get his hands on (that's why his Korean models are shit compared to the Chinese ones). Plan to bloat his MASSIVE East Asian map even more. Not really good on battle system balancing, based his on Darthmod but somehow thinks 88 degrees archer fire are a great idea that fixes a non-problem and causes new problems. Morning Sun Campaign are pretty much playable but buggy as hell, there's seems to be a boundary how much can one stretch S2's campaign map. Korean and Chinese ships are incredibly hard to make, and he doesn't have the expertise to create the models. Also one-man show.

Weierstrass: Plans for another Master of Strategy for FoTS. Gonna break provinces into lots of small towns again ala uanime's "extended" map. Seems to be not a modeller, but he knows how to convert.

No. The entirety of the Bretonnian faction on the tabletop is as follows.

>lord, prophetess, paladin, damsel
>knights errant, knights of the realm, peasant bowmen, men at arms
>questing knights, pegasus knights, mounted yeomen, grail pilgrims
>grail knights, trebuchet

So that's two Lords, two Heroes, a Core of two knights, one melee inf, one ranged inf. Special is knights, knights on flying horses, peasants with a ward save, or peasants on horses. Rare is knights or a trebuchet.

They're by far the shittiest and least developed faction in the entire setting. Comparable to Sisters of Battle if you know anything about 40k.

Nope. Bretonnia isn't as technologically advanced as the Empire, so they can't produce full plate armor as economically. Very few of the knights would have full plate, so you definitely wouldn't see foot soldiers wearing this kind of armor.

I'm playing FotS as fucking date with diplomacy benefit and researched Consular Court for another diplomacy benefit and the fucking Marioka call me to their aid after they are attacked. Ancient Greek armies typically only saw elite troops outfitted with breastplates though. A bronze cuirass and a helmet were major investment, and made you the most heavily armored soldier on an ancient battlefield.

Contrast that to the late middle ages/early renaissance (I.E. Warhammer Empire) where they shit out munitions breastplates in such large numbers that even the common soldiery could have them. Basic Empire State Troops would be heavy infantry by ancient world standards. And a hoplite would shit himself at the prospect of trying to fight someone in full plate.

I usually don't take it and have Gelt with boosted Demis and Steam Tanks tagging along so I do want to get reinf in battle, especially since mine has either long range or is fast moving.

You should see what the north looks like, suebi have started a germanic confederation and are blobbing in gallia while being butt buddies with all the germans around them. That's a pity because before that the arverni were making good progress too.

Meanwhile chartage went from being a superpower owning all of west africa and half of Iberia to a bunch of fleets scraping the bottom of the barrel to even survive. They totally collapsed during the first punic war I had with them to take sicily and sardinia, where I just destroyed one of their fleets, and got their ass beaten by carthago nova. They just recently managed to reconquer carthage itself. Iberia went from being split in two between carthage and a confederation to being a bunch of single city factions eternally quarrelling between themselves.

Maybe I'll post a pic later, it's a mess.

against low tech imperial factions like Kislev I just send in a bunch of zombo's + summon more with necromancy to keep the fight going for as long as possible, then when zombs start to crumble I send in my good infantry and monster to finish off the exhausted humans.

Some have speculated releasing new factions in the "challenge campaign" DLC's would be cool since they can make a campaign centered around the new factions, especially if they commonly interact it lore. Problem with that is making factions in Rome2 was a hell of a lot easier so I wouldn't be surprised if its all race packs or expansion oriented faction releases.

If Greenskin, it's a meatgrinder so approach it as such. Get two LL with two WAAAGHs and just grind everything down to a pulp.

With Vamps, get Hexa what ever they are called. Or that oversized mutated bat. AP + speed is good.

If you're playing mods with Bretonnia, I just had two armies of 4 mounted archers and everything else was grail knights. What you do there is you get into a massive fight, I did 2 of my armies vs 4 of chaos. You mostly route the one coming from your back first, let the mounted archers kite what ever they can and just outplay them. I played on VH so i was able to pause and give out orders, if you're on legendary, CTRL+G and 1/2 speed can help a lot.

Well ofc they do. One group of units is for a fully fleshed out fraction and another is for something you play with mods.

Mounted archers are good for distracting the fuckers, but really, it's doable. I had 20/80 bar against me in a fight of my two armies vs 4 chaos armies and I won, the battle lasted in game for 25+ minutes, but with all the pauses and slowmotion and shit it was an hour real time.

It's all about being able to route one or two armies asap and then, depending on where reinf comes, get the middle enemy army, the main one murdered from all sides.

That's what I did. Most fun I had in TWWH with 274 hours played.

I think the problem here is that some sperglords won't consider anything else than mastercrafted full-plate harnesses as "plate armor", while most normal people will see a bunch of breastplates, greaves etc and still refer to it as "plate armor" even though it is technically "half-plate".

That's the situation I was talking about, some things changed in the meantime: I took half of Lybia from sparta and the cyrenaica sandniggers down south (they actually helped me against sparta but Athens dowed them and I couldn't let them take another city while I was occupied somewhere else), next I'll take Alexandria. Sparta actually offered to become my client state but I don't really care about that and I'd rather conquer them to get a better foothold on mainland greece.

The big deal though is that I accepted an offer from the Dumnoni (the ones tainting the Iceni's borders in britain), who were at war with germanic NATO, to get a casus belli against them. NATO is pretty pissed off at me because by now I have funded several factions who were at war with them, am actively trading with Dumnoni and Arverni both, and now the Dumnoni are my vassals too. Shit will t the fan sooner or later so I recruited a third legion to cover my northern front and reinforced the other two, bringing them to full strength.

Ive had 5 agents from 3 different factions chain blocking/assassinating my shit.
Then you have the ebin underway meme.

You just have to rush the Greenskins before the other tribes, attacking the minor factions will always facilitate confederation for the bigger ones. I personnally solved the problem of going back and forth by building walls in all my settlements and hiring multiple armies of cheap units.

Forsaken are God tier against bretonnia since they tear through their infantry, take a couple of halberd chaos warriors and a cav or two and your good.

Dwarfs are easy to beat just make sure your bring lots of great weapons and cav, avoid giants make sure any monsters you take are away from missiles and artillery.

Also take a lore of death wizard.

Farm Norsca to living hell. Sack, sack, sack, sack, and then sack again. Thats how you get the first levels easy and then you can set up decent infrastructure.

Fuck upkeep. Eventually through building bonuses and if you start with Archaon you can get upkeepless infantry cores (do not underestimate the warriors).

Keep moving on the campaign map, set a target area to raid, burn shit, go back to Norsca or other destroyed territory, regroup, recoup, repeat.

Technologies to prioritize: sack/battle loot, warrior and knight upgrades, INFERNAL MARCH

This game maybe based on the 8th Edition except for the point that there nowhere said on which edition it is based. It even can be fucking based on any edition and even custome one, because there no mandatory for CA to create the game based on any edition. This game even can be left without any additional factions like Skavens, Beastmen, Lizzardmen, TK, because they always remind that there gonna be 3 games of Warhammer Total War. So if to choose between fucking overhaul graphic pack for Dwarfs and new Territory + new army unique units for TK. The chances for them is pretty close to zero.
