The problem is people who have never played in front of an audience, let alone thousands of people, go up there and choke their little hearts out. They spend a week at GDQ playing smash and shit before their run, havent practiced their game for a couple of months, and have no idea hot to commentate or interact with the couch. Its not anxiety or whatever the fuck, its because they are shit at what they do, and you end up with autismos like the ty run guy. Plus the fact that GDQ politics and jewyama FOR SOME FUCKING REASON dont want to invite the actually good and popular speedrunners (some of them). There is no rhyme or reason to the game selection, to the schedule, to the donation reader, everything is just a huge clusterfuck. God damn im getting angry just typing all this shit out.
