It's not a matter of personal taste, doctor Autismo. The Hintertombs is objectively the one chalice dungeon that nobody ever does since there's nothing in there except for the Madman's set in Lower Hintertombs.

Granted, speedrunning through one shouldn't take anyone more than 15 minutes, even if you have no idea where you're going, so it's hardly that big of a hassle, but why even bother making a FC in there for such a trivial reason as "to round out having one of each", conisdering also the fact that the Hintertombs don't look that special and that we already have glyphs for hosting FCs in 3 diverse locations?

Then you don't need a Vit that high, and you should never have to go past 20 with End really.

Do 20 End and 33 Vit so you can at least get to 50 Arc.

But really if you're doing Arc your bread and butter is in the Tools, which scale all the way to 99. So personally I'd drop Vit and End even further you maximize Arc damage output.

I think I've got my mind made up on the Hunter's Nightmare.

The blood of the fiends, echo fiends, that is to say, the blood of hunters was cursed out of spite by the wizened orphan of desecrated Kos (or the hamlet survivors), after her remains were violated in the name of Byrgenwerth's inquiry into the eldritch truth. This curse was to echo through the ages, through the descendants of the original sinners, forever punishing their lust for blood and knowledge and power.

The hunters began to disappear, abducted by unseen forces, the Amygdala. Every drunken hunter snatched by the Amygdala and whisked into the nightmare world brings with them the splintered memories of their old hunting grounds, which the nightmare feeds on like a cancer, growing into an amalgam of impossible geometries as perceived by many an insane mind. The Grand Cathedrals in the nightmare are examples of this tumorous growth, Laurence sleeps upon the Altar of Ebrietas in the cathedral of his time, he recalls a noticeably humbler institute in the infancy of its power, in comparison to the Research Hall where Maria dwells. She survived to see the Healing Church founded on the remains of Laurence's skull, usurp Cainhurst, lay waste to her family, take control of Yharnam, and renounce Byrgenwerth.

And the possessed moon hangs over the Hunter's Nightmare as a symbol of the curse in their blood, reflected in their collapsed eyes. It recedes back into the cosmos (the ocean) when the Orphan is returned to the ocean (the cosmos).

What should I improve on for my ludwigs holy blade build?

Gotta wait for the last fight to get the Burial Blade but Uncanny BB can be found in a chalice dungeon. Do you need to have unlocked the base version in order to find the lost/uncanny versions or can you just skip those?

Not sure if Lone Survivor is the most efficient start. Was going to breeze through the game until Gherman but a kind anon pointed out that I can find the Uncanny Burial Blade if I just focus on the chalices, no base model required.

Mine is not a proper skill build, but it revolves around the Burial Blade, so it should help you out:

45 VIT
25 END
10 STR
48 SKL
07 BLT
15 ARC

I picked "professional" as a starting class, since its base STR is 09.
If you want to use the Burial Blade to its full potential, you'll have to pump END up to 24-25 and equip a tier 3 Anti-Clockwise Metamorphosis rune, so you can perform the full tricked-mode L2 combo. Keep in mind though that its usefulness only shines in PvE, but you're still going to need a decent amount of END in order to swing that thing and jump around, so I wouldn't go lower than 20-22 if I were you.
I brought ARC up to 15 because I wanted to be animu and be able to use the Old Hunter Bone.

As my last advice, disregard the tripfag telling you to level up BLT to 8 so you can use the Repeating Pistol, unless you want to be a top shitter like he is.

You'll want lost weapons

You can grind layer 3 Rom in v5v5fpsd for 19.5% Nourishing Radial abyssals or settle for the layer 2 gargoyles in 8q6pkpqx for 19.3% nourishing Radials, and the layer 3 Amygdala in ufhdmw6p and 6jcbqsk2 for the other shape nourishing abyssals 21.5%.

Here's my nourishing build for the wheel and HMLS, I keep it at 66 for invasions and I don't have all the gems yet, but it kills kills kills. If you take it up to 98 for the wheel I'd aim for 30 strength for the cannon and 36 arcane, though quality builds suffer at that level.

Does anyone else have some sort of weird, slight input delay while playing? It only happens when I input commands while moving, if I try to sidestep my guy stop dead for something like a tenth of a second before it actually comes out and about a third of the time my running attacks don't come out and instead I'll get regular R1 or R2, even when I'm still holding circle.

Stick to his right side and watch for when he does his three hit combo that ends in the slam. When the slam is coming, dodge away and then get a strike on his leg. When he jumps back, rinse and repeat. If you're behind him and he does the swipe, dodge through it. He used to give me trouble as well but trust me, you'll get the hang of it.

I'm not in ding that to be particularly true. I can't think of any bad skill weapons for PVE other than Blades of Mercy, and that's only true at certain parts. Best PVE weapons are probably Whirlgig and Ludwigs, but there are several strength weapons that suck at PVE, and most aren't all that better. Plus with STR parry bait bosses are a pain in the ass.

Str weapons have high stunlock potential, high damage, can often knock enemies on the ground and often have great reach.

That is three weapons, and Ludwig is quality. Also, Whirlgig and Ludwig both require 12 skill, while no SKL weapon requires considerable STR investment. Most STR weapons are not that much better than the Reiterpallash at PVE, and some STR weapons are really mediocre for it (Kirkhammer, Logarius). It's dumb and really unbalanced.

There's no restriction with passwords. Make sure you've set it to Worldwide instead of Local and your Caryll Rune might affect it. It takes a couple of minutes too sometimes.

Amy arm is great against bosses because it eats poise for breakfast.
I just finished the game with it and when I hit Logarius with full stamina I can chain five more hits with it, in club mode.
With the scythe mode R2 I can outrange literally everything, even hit Ebrietas' head while she's standing.
It can also hit everything through walls and it's great in pvp too.

Bloodborne, while a fantasy setting, is absolutely filled to the brim with the aesthetics and themes of a very real time in history and literature. That's its verisimilitude, you know pretty much off the bat exactly what the game is going for, it's very obvious. Then it pulls the rug out from under you when you get to Byrgenwerth and you find out you were in cosmic horror all along. And what's more, BB does its own thing with the elder gods and eldritch horror, since the game is so neatly tied up together. But it's recognizable for what it's going for, the allusions to name Great Ones is very obvious, the limitations of the humans they affect - the depth this game goes to be recognizable as cosmic horror and show off its HPL influences while not having to rely on overt references is amazing, both aesthetically and thematically. There's an essay about this whole subject in me I'll type up one day. I love this game to bits for being tasteful and original cosmic horror all while mixing it into a high speed action game, that takes fucking skill, my dude.
