However, it seems to make her "better" they took the store idea but now she only has the low fireball and two new moves for mk and hk and you have to do the motion again after storing them to use it.

it just makes sense. You already start the dash punch where the stick is already in the forward position, then you continue holding forward to do more dash punches. Feels natural and makes sense since Rog is moving forward with each punch. You can still v-skill cancel the follow up punches and go for an overhead reset, which is probably the optimal thing to do since doing the full v-trigger combo does shit damage.

Birdie's V-skill is about conditioning the opponent, setups, and building his v-gauge.
Dhalsim's V-skill gives him increased air mobility and more freedom over his floaty jump.
Ken's V-skill is for pressure.
Gief's V-skill helps with projectiles but also sets up his command throws by making safe things, unsafe.
Off the top of my head some unique ones. The projectile ones are like Nash/Karin/Bison/Ibuki/Vega/Balrog.

its garbage. the promotional material for the game built up certain plot points and characters, yet they all get trivialized in one way or another. the reunion of guile and nash is just glazed over, necalli is just some dude who shows up when bad shit is going down, and bison's supposedly 'final' boss fight felt nowhere near big enough. the only arc that really has a beginning, middle and end throughout is the one regarding cammy and the dolls.

also, ryu is absent for most of it and solves his dark hadou problem offscreen. i have no idea why they wasted so much time on this crap, just stick to arcade mode with intros, endings and rival fights.

Returning to SF5 after barely having touched it since April. I forget how shit the online mode is. How hard is an arcade mode to program? Why not just make it like the capcom playstations and have an original difficulty setting, and then scaling difficulty until you reach your rival and then a final boss. The survival mode and the baby difficulty story modes aren't that fun.

Arcade mode is the only way you can really fit story into a fighter without throwing the entire cast into a big convoluted mess. In arcade, you follow each fighter's individual path and only one or two fights are actually pivotal. You get a nice ending as a reward that wraps up whatever problem was presented in the intro. Capcom should have just done it oldschool, they attempted to pull a Mortal Kombat and failed.
