I am honestly interested if boatmode for War Thunder would fall between the World of Warships and Steel Ocean model.

One thing that I am eagerly avaiting are torpedoboats, neither of the forementioned games have them and torpedoboats are such underpresented thing. They saw plenty of action in Norway, English channel and Black Sea.

Why is it so blatant that match making is rigged? Why can't they just admit it. I play on my account that I simply destroy on and I keep getting matched with BRs at least .7 higher than me. I get on my brothers account to boost it for him and I'm sitting there just clubbing as top tier. I have no proof other than personal experience, but this shit is as blatant as it was in WoT.

I understand the limits for bombers but I really wish they'd etend the range for heavy fighters since they typically only have one gun covering a very limited area. It's incredibly difficult to simultaneously use the turret and maneuver the plane so that it's actually pointing at the enemy.

Is there any way to have fun while flying with joystick instead of the mouse?

I used to play arcade with the stick and it was an infuriating experience, but I just can't get used to letting the plane fly itself and moving the mouse around to aim it.

RB had the problem that most other pilots were relatively skilled in combat, while I was basically just holding my plane up. No teamwork or anything leaving me on my own, and once I was shot down that was it until the game ended.

This means in one ammo rack there may be propellant charges, and in another the projectiles.

There is a very good reason if you're not an absolute shit at this game, let alone autistic to the point where the first thing you started grinding wasn't M82. The "sick flanks" are very common in the thing and all you need to do is pop the M82 into the side of a tank for an easy kill. The problem is you apparently don't know where to aim when facing IS-3/IS-4, but you'll learn.

As to why claps are simply better at tier 5, they have 6 (if you include ATGM) of HEAT-FS slugging machines, 7 if you include 200mm pen HEAT round M46 gets (considering you're struggling with M82, this round will handhold you, never really needed it personally). That's more than USSR (6 in total in all tiers) or Germany (3), let alone UK (0). UK gets APDS/HESH, so it's not that terrible (it's actually pretty decent at tier 5), but after USSR, US tanks have the best armour (Chieftain excluded). Obviously you still need to unlock HEAT-FS, but people mean clap tanks are good when they have that unlocked. Decent enough armour on a stock will make your grind to HEAT-FS easier, trust me. If you don't trust me, try T92, Leopard, KJP, ASU-85.

And no matter how much people want to meme about it, armour does still actually matter at tier 5. You'll learn that when playing stock tanks that have APCR (i.e.: M48, bouncing like crazy) or shit like M47. With HEAT-FS, yeah, it doesn't matter, but stock, it sure as hell does (and you will get saved by lucky bounces even on clap tanks).

If you are still struggling, quit US and go play USSR. It's easier. Unlock that one cunt keeps whining here, you don't actually need HEAT-FS on them as stock APHE will rape shit from sides.

Why does Walker Bulldog feel like absolute shit? Is it the suspension? And I don't mean only on desert terrain like it pic, it's on every other surface, even on roads, it quite literally feels as if the thing was dragging another fucking tank behind it. I was somewhat seriously considering spading it (can get past the shitty stock ammo and kill shit), but holy fuck just driving it makes me annoyed. I had to take out my M46 to fucking get rid of the sickening feeling and get back into comfy mode. And I did try the reference model (spaded tank) in test drive, it's the same, it feels like dogshit still. None other nation has a tank that fucks up the feel of driving harder than this thing.

Cent mk3 was already pretty great at close combat thanks to its vertical cannon movement and fire rate

The increased zoom just gives it a edge at longer ranged combat aswell.
