Alright you fucking retards i'm tired of hearing you be wrong so I'm going to explain some shit to you.

Your placement games barely fucking matter. You start off at a certain rank depending on your hidden MMR from casual play and then your 10 placement are just slightly more heavily weighted games to help calibrate your final rank. That is why 6 stacks can all calibrate at different ranks. it has nothing to do with individual performance. Calibration games will not magically bring someone who belongs at rank 60 all the way down to rank 40. likewise, they won't magically enable some shitter to be carried from 40 to 60 because they got lucky in placements. People aren't a higher rank than you because they 'got carried', they were going to be placed higher than you no matter what because they are better than you, and the system already knew that from their hidden MMR.

Find a new excuse, baddies.

Problems with ranked right now:

1. The system unfairly punishes people who are forced to switch roles. If you are getting golds as an offense character and then are forced to switch to a healer on defense (extremely common unless you're in a 6-man premade at all times) you get penalized simply for not having all golds all the time.

2. The system for tiebreaking is essentially RNG. TF2 comp matches use a timer when a tie occurs: if both teams capture all points, the one that took less time to do it wins.

3. System also unfairly punishes teams for having a leave, crash, or DC on their side. I've lost games in 5-man premades because the single random loses their internet connection. Similarly, I've won games where I only won because someone on the other side disconnected and the rest of his team followed suit.

What is the best crosshair for hitscan characters like Widow and 76? People keep saying the dor but I found out I cant aim for shit with it. Maybe my sensitivty isnt optimal for my playstyle or maybe I just suck but I always find success with the regular crosshairs because the lines allow me to adjust faster.

I always see pros playing with the dot because they say its a little more accurate though.

If you want the best chance of bypassing ragers, shitters, blizz fanbois and noobs I suggest waiting AT LEAST (7) days until after the launch of competitive. That would be the 5th of July.

Most of the playerbase of this game is casuals so when you queue into the massive clusterfuck that is ranked today you have a higher chance of getting these casuals on your team. As the shine and attractiveness of rank falls off for casuals you'll find more serious players who are willing to work with you. This happens everytime.

If you REALLY want to play I would say wait 3-4 days but even then do so at your own risk.

I regularly get Gold medals with Hanzo, and the last match I played as him had me and the team's Mercy being the only ones who got the cart pushing forward. We got all the way to the warehouse choke point at the Watchpoint map, but the enemy team went with a 2 Torb/Bastion/Roadhog/Junkrat/Genji and we couldn't form up enough to beat them.

That's only if you use it as a kill machine. In that case, then yeah, 90% of the time a Hanzo ult will be shit.

But Hanzo's ult real purpose isn't to kill people, I think. I regularly use the Hanzo ult to keep people off of the cart or capture point. If the rest of my team is charging into the hill, then I'll shoot a dragon to push the enemies out of the hill, or else they get hit with death.

Same with a cart, plus it buys the team the precious few seconds it can take to get to the cart and set up a good counterpush.

And while the sniping isn't as powerful as Widowmaker, you can deal out more consistent damage faster than a Widow can.

Basically, bad Hanzos see Hanzo as a Widowmaker with arrows, whereas a good Hanzo is an enemy harasser, who uses his powers to run up walls (away from the enemy, quick escape), give away their position with radar arrows, and scatter enemies from the objective with multi-arrows and their ult. Maybe really good players can afford to get into the fray of battle, but being a harasser from afar is the best for a Hanzo.
