Assassin is the best spec for archer though, all its abilities are ranged and tempest has lots of pbaoes and artificer has lots of traps, both of which require to run into melee range or close to it to use

This is similar to what I was using, it was working perfectly fine after Trespasser release.
I would recommend also getting (upgraded) stealth and spam it with leaping shot. This way you can quickly and safely get around enemies for point blank leaping shots from behind.

Yeah that's just not that fantastic and not worth picking the entire specialization for. Assassin is way more burst damage with mark of death, it's not even close.

Let's be real, it's Dragon Age: Inquisition, no matter what you pick you will beat the game easily.

Well you can still turn it off and do it that way if you want, it's just nice to have the option for a challenging fight and more generally not having to constantly worry about overleveling content

Still boggles my mind to this day how they released the game with more than 3x as much generic side content than main campaign content, to the point where you can't even do it all in one run if you tried because you would hit the level cap barely halfway through doing it all. I hope they learned their lesson for Andromeda but it seems kind of unlikely given the emphasis on open world exploration. Come on BioWare, that's not why people play your games and you know it.

Aritificer is the best for dps because you can use archery abilities until your focus bar fills up, then drink an offense potion and kill everything with hail of arrows in seconds. It also gives you an extra dialog option with Varric and a certain other character

There is some stupid thing in the game where you can suck the life juices out of people you knock out in combat for money and you lose morality points, but it's on the same exact button that looting their corpse is, so if they don't have loot and you accidentally press e on them anyways you lose karma points. It's retarded because karma points are extremely hard to get and you lose one every time you suck em and you only get like 5 bucks for it.

Nope, any time you beat someone in combat it just "knocks them out". Some quests that require you to kill people or if you just want to resolve them that way actually require you to suck their juices up once you get the npc down which means taking a karma hit for every person you suck up.

There's no gameplay repercussions like different powers or anything, I'm not that far and I've been keeping it pretty high so it's hard to tell what exactly it affects but loading screen tooltips say it can affect companion relationships and mission outcomes. And if an enemy has loot it just shows up as a really subtle blue sparkling effect on their corpse which you can miss if they're all piled up on top of each other or something.

It's okay, could be better. The most important thing missing is sneak attack passive from the dagger tree(yes, it works with bows). Cheap shot from sabotage is also very good, as enemies have a ton of armor later on. I'd get rid of full draw and explosive shot upgrade to save points.

Renegade really is the superior attitude imo: leaving the Asari scientist in Virmire alive leads to her suicide bombing civilians, the asari merc you can spare in Samara's mission turns out to be a genuine murderer, and so on. This isn't like KOTOR where you can just be Jesus and save everyone because of the force, Mass Effect is about war and war has no room for softies.
I like how you can effectively screw over every merchant in ME2's Citadel by giving them "unique" paragon endorsements though, it's one of the few instances where paragon is diplomatic and manipulative rather than naive

Regarding the council's speech, it makes sense that they'd paint the Spectres as heroic because it's basically a big show for the entire galactic community which everyone watched on space youtube. Well, My main Shepard was colonist/sole survivor so instead of using that pain to be some evil he wanted to make sure no one goes through that pain. Like I still pick some renegade options. Like being the one to shoot Udina, and that part during Miranda's loyalty mission at the very beginning.
