I got Kefka cloak of 100 gems and then Celescalibur off a 3 pull and I was done. Not even using either Celes or her sword on my team. Tried using Kefka for Hastega other than Divine Guardian, but Mages are just too bad. The cloaks probably one of my best armors now though simply because I got shafted on getting any actual Light Armor most of the time.

One story mission is an an easy way to get a Pig which is a pain to get otherwise, I remember that much.
Can't remember which mission it is, though. I know you're fighting a shitload of Chocobos in it, but I don't remember when exactly it is.

But as far as good units go, I don't think there are any. The only thing some enemies have is good gear, and you're better off trying to steal that. The Attack UP passive boosts stealing chances for some reason.

Can someone help me understand how pulls work in RK? My understanding is that you have a 13% chance of drawing a 5* relic. And a 1% chance at a featured relic such as Cecil's Excalibur. My understanding is that 1% chance is a part of the 13% chance to draw a 5*. So doing an 11x draw gives you an 11% chance of drawing a particular relic. Is this right or is my math wrong?

Not all relics, are 1%, just generally the "good" ones (the BSBs/SSBs) and the bad ones (shared SBs, synergy relics). Cecil's Excalibur is likely still 1%, though.

You're mostly correct, but depends on the relic. Some of the less valuable relics tend to have boosted drop rates (not sure if this applies to the BSB banners since those have more featured relics than the typical event banner) so you'd have a higher probability to get one of those. Thyrus on the XIV banner tomorrow is a good example, being the grand prize on that banner while also just being a regular, non-SSB relic so the odds of pulling it are actually not bad.

Reddit is claiming that it's 1% for the BSBs and SSBs, 1.5% for other SBs, and 1.5% for off-banner. For the first BSB banner, at least.

See "1.5% off-banner" makes me doubt this whole thing, because its far too vague and unexplained a number for a rather hard to quantify array.

You'd have to take the chance to get a 5* at all, then the chance that the 5* you get is off-banner, and then the chance for each and every possible off-banner 5* item to actually make it comparable to the numbers given here, which is a 1% absolute chance of drawing a BSB. There's not enough annotation or explanation for it, and 1.5% seems at best a likely estimate for your chance to draw 1) a 5* that 2) is off-banner, but then doesn't explain how it determines what you get from there.

I'm not really sure what you're talking about. All off-banner items have the same chance of dropping, it's done the same way that Lucky Draws are done (by weighing every relic that applies equally).
Off-banner odds are generally just what is left over after all the banner items have "taken" their odds from the 13% available. The odds for an off-banner relic isn't always the same for every banner.

It is completely valid and is the reason for the shoa during the Tactics banner.
In 100 relics you have a 13% chance to get a 5 star.
The 13% gets made up out of the 1% for the featured BSB and SSB relics (4%), the normal SB relics (7.5%) and off-banner (1.5%).
Off-banner means anything that is not featured on the banner, meaning it can be a BSB that is not Cecil's, but most likely it will be Josef's suicide glove.

So I gave RK a try and I'm really not satisfied.
People here talked highly of it, like it was a decent game but when I got there I was met with hilariously unbalanced shitfest full of pay walls and p2w (which was to be expected, since mobile) that old fags had a ridiculous advantage over new ones.

The game allows so little build creativity inside it if you're going for any sort of serious / highly rewarding content that you're forced into these specific builds or to be severely gimped otherwise, having to spend mithil on revives and sometimes even that won't allow you to beat the time limited event that will award you make or break equipment.

I'm not sure how you guys do it (outside of waifufags doing it for the waifu of their laifu), because with so many good FF games out there, that are balanced (even if broken at times), fun, with stories to cater to many tastes I just can't find a reason to justify spending time is this severely limited skinner box.

So please, outside of waifufaggotry, why are you still playing this game? Because I find it unlikely you wouldn't find more fun and less frustration in other FF titles. Almost feel compelled to think there's some sunk cost fallacy at work here.

From observation when RK conversation happened I would see about:

50% Loathing/Frustration Due to pulls, balance, you favorite team not working, events that didn't arrive, your favorite characters being weak or requiring synergies that would be far in the future

20% Anons asking for Strategic advice/Team composition in suboptimal setups (Mostly on how to beat ultimates)

20% upcoming content and planning ahead (mostly related to mithril budgets and banners)

I got the scene where you talk to Rikku on the deck at 95% which is supposed to be the "you're on the road to 100%" scene AFAIK.

Then I went down into the hole in Besaid. Cleared the bosses there and got to the flower field.

Then I went down all the other holes so I could get the Megiddo Garmet Grid.

Then I went into the portal to the final part of the dungeon.

Then I cleared that area out and solved all the puzzles.

Then I saved, saw the point of no return warning scene, then went back and saved and went back to the airship because the guide told me to. Supposedly, that is where you get The End Garment Grid when you've completed the Bestiary, but I hadn't (and that isn't required for 100%) but I did it anyway.

Then I went back into the final dungeon and went and beat the final bosses.

I mashed X at the flower field and told the Fayth that I wanted to see the Star Player of the Zanarkand Abes again.

Then I watched the ending and credits.

Then I only got the good ending and 99%.

Not getting the most significant Orb Fest in RK history.

The Big Bridge Orb Fest isn't an ordinary orbfest. It featured every single type of orb, including Summon for once, for 2 days each in groups of 3, rotating whenever a new Big Bridge boss came in.

By removing it they've basically SIGNIFICANTLY reduced the grade of Hones that global will have compared to Japan and made it significantly more about having played forever and a half to be doing top content in any way.

That sounds awful anon, I tried to 100% the game as well too and stopped toward the end of chapter 3 when after using two guides (same ones as you are, and I can attest to their sub par quality) and cross referencing I had missed something and was .2 off. At that point I didn't care.

Maybe there's some compilation post that has all everything that counts for 100% and you can cross reference for that on NG+? I'm sure there's also some version of a X-2 guide for the ps2 that's more accurate then the HD ones.

Does anyone have regen/high regen/large/mega whatever the fuck they call it now SB? I'm trying to decide between Relm and Vanille's SSB for my team. I played with it a little and the regen seems okay but I see people talk about it like its the greatest thing ever (they literally say relm's is the best medica in the game). It just doesn't seem to tick all that often or for very much. Vanille's can be equally shit if its giving me another restored use of protectga/shellga/other ability I really don't need a charge of but it can also hit the jackpot of giving me an extra 5* ability use so there's that.
