Mid silk is there because it is normally a 4-man front (kiki up front) and elemental defender (nerua, etc) can go i nthe back for vonchi or whoever. it doesn't work in an away team, especially since silk has no unique stone yet.

If saramir ever gets an EE, or when I can get metatron she will take the midline spot and move silk back for good.

I met a mono-ardor team in galaxy. I don't think I can beat that team without a duran of my own.

IC and TB everywhere. Lowest reflex player I saw on the team was Lia at 2700.

The new EE Erica beat my +160 meiran like a rag doll. She is now just as hard to pen through as Victoria, Duke , or beth. Ardor midlines now have both sides covered with a player that can stop anything up to and including a Khirel charge.

Elaine single handedly tanked Silk+Miho+ kiki. She has always been able to shrug off WW attacks with over 3k reflex, and after getting buffed further in this weeks patch her offensive totem power is obscene. Her stack provides more crit rate than silk's stack can counter. Her active also lasts 10 minuts now.

Silk refused to use her active and suicided into Elaine leaving Jin exposed. After an active pass and Elaine's newly upgraded totem (50% crit rate and attack boost to position) they had a one-on-one with William shot for the win.

tl;dr

First shot against Jin was only 600.
Last shot against Jin was over 4.8k.

I am now more afraid of Elaine than I am of a frontline Choi.

Some debated if Elaine was the most powerful S2 5* before, but after that buff she is insane. It only takes two actions to get her 50% attack and crit rate totem active.

People (mostly reddit people) also laughed at the Erica EE. She has GK-tier defensive stats on a defender with an always-on 30% DR passive. Combine with over 3k reflex and a teamwide 20% hp totem.

Obviously this midline bullies WW teams. I imagine lightball teams will have an easier time against it.

I have had khirel charge from back to front hundreds of times since last major AI patch and he has never once tried to pen the back line. Not a single time out of 400-500 times. he would pen twice and then pass every signle time.

Most of the EEs thunder and WW used to cry about were minor improvements over the evolved character. They cried about them being EE characters rather than the worth of the EE, especially when even back then a mono WW or mono thunder team could easily destroy other monos or rainbows that weren't stuffed full of legends anyway.

WW used to not even have a 5* GK. If you wanted to build monoWW either you would have to luck out a Jin or get fucked, since there was no free legendary or Dstones. And even then Jin was not much stronger than Kei or Zibroi, since he had no gimmick and his active skill was gaining spirit when he was shot.

MonoThunder was never a thing, they used Light/Thunder with Hiro, the most popular and one of the strongest strikers. The only way they had a chance was with Leventor + Glabaris, because penetration used to be broken.

MonoWW was flimsy, if you didn't have Jin is was an auto loss the moment the ball went to your backline. Their midline was almost weak without a single EE, and they had to rely on nonEE Neraizel + Beatrice to OHKO.

Light and Dark were the only colors who would get decent 5* GK's, Kei and Gobroi. Dark had Baltheon, the undisputed best passer in the game, and Lucid+Baltheon used the be the strongest combo for nonPVP, Malcolm used the be one of the strongest attackers. All legendaries of Light and Dark were among the best legendaries. Only worse than monoWW or monoThunder was monoArdor, which didn't have a good striker until Sharr, and didn't have a good GK until Lucian.

MonoWW and Mono thunder were easy whale elements because of their smaller unit pool. Whales dumped on their color tab for quicker and more reliable superbs and if they got the legendary then great. Lucian didn't take that long to come out and gave WW a usable on-ace GK all in one. Beth/Meta/Duke was the ultimate whale midline. Also a lot of the best units were light/dark, like Avnore and Mikael.
