There are so few maps that actually have the 40 meter clear distance for its range to matter, and it has an instant lock on compared to what was about 15 meters and a half second lock on. You can't peek fire torb without taking damage as opposed to Engie

You have people like Zarya and Genji and Zenyatta who are difficult to use correctly but when you get to that point you can fucking cleave through the enemy team like a hot knife through an enemy team of six Overwatch players getting their asses handed to them

Seriously, once players figure out the maps and hero skills, there is not a big difference in between levels.

Pharah in my opinion is probably the hardest character to do well with, her entire effectiveness relies on the player's sole ability to aim and lead her rockets. Her rockets are slow moving in comparison to everything else save Symmetra's charged shot and have low splash damage, making direct hits her most effective means to damage. Being in the air can make her a huge target for most other characters, she has no gimmick skills like Recall, Reflect, or Flashbang. Her Ult makes her a sitting duck and has pretty big spread and damage fall-off

Damn are you off the mark on his power level. He's one of the strongest heroes in the game and one of the most picked. He has high mobility, solid dps with range, and can heal everyone including himself. He doesn't play that much like CoD imo despite the CoDish theme. Everyone dies really fast in CoD whereas you have to keep up decent aim to chip away at your enemies' health and stay on your feet with Soldier.

Get a nice friend to go Mei and wait for a good ult from him.

Walk up to popsicles and let them each get a good view of your shotgun's barrels before you tap 'em.

The only situation where roadhog dumpsters rein is when he charges him immidiately and gives hog time to heal up after getting charged.

If you land an entire clip on someone using burst fire to prevent damage fall off you can do more than 300 damage. You don't even have to use a whole clip if you can land head shots. A direct hit from a helix rocket is always 120 damage. He has good DPS but it's entirely reliant on your aim + learning not to hold m1 all the time to prevent damage fall off and spread.

If I solo him as Reaper, that's an easy 30%+ charge. 50%+ if I kill him while he's self-healing. I finish my first ult before 45s and easily dominate the point with it.
