Alright, to keep you updated, here's what I've personally tested so far. A lot of people seem to be testing and keeping things close to the chest, but I honestly plan on publishing everything (along with EDIT files so you can test yourself) after the end of the current Test Cup.

- A full (32 game) Test Cup on standard, 1.03, changing literally nothing, as a "Control" cup to compare my other results to.
- The same Test Cup using 1.04 and 8-Form Keepers
- I'm 16 games into a test cup using 8-Form EVERYONE, and a little bit of Stat Compression (95 Golds, 88 Silvers - same as Megabeastage used in his tests).

I honestly don't give a shit about Harlock either way. I feel weird about using fan patches, since a bunch of people seem to think that it only affects stats/Match Ratings, and not behaviors. /ag/League will be using Harlock, so maybe the Knockouts can give you some decent data.

Secondary A-Positions, I've really got no way of testing using existing teams. Sorry, but I'm using Preset-1 De-Memed normal tactics from Winter and Spring group stages. I think that covers everything you mentioned.

I agree that scorelines revolving around 3 - 5 goals total are more fair, but remember that real divegrass matches have a lot more of total attack attempts with worse goal conversion rate for the simple reason of being played over 90 minutes. With hour and half in tow, each team having 10 - 15 attempts is nothing unusual while having this many shots on each side in 10 minute PES match would be batshit insane. Only consistent way to have not many goals in PES is to have not many shots, and that would turn Cup into something even more boring than real thing. You simply can't recreate true football experience with clock running almost 10 times faster.

Just a little heads up to anyone interested in witnessing some more format autism tests. I'm currently testing how does the PES17 fare when competition level is brought down by a little bit (from Superstar to Professional) and the general outlook is pretty good - defenders and midfielders behave roughly the same, while strikers are generally less eager to take those superhuman unstoppable shots - they either tend to close down to net a little bit more, or balls are tad bit slower so goalkeepers don't just stand in place and look miserable. Average goal per match amount also dropped down, but not by much and seems to oscillate between 4 and 5 so far. Those might be just my flawed observations, so I'll not only run more tests of that to make some statistics out of them, but also stream some extra games so anyone interested can come, take a look at game flow and share his opinions.

I'll stream tests on Monday, and if time will allow, also on Tuesday, most likely starting around 16.00 UTC (about one hour before usual Cup time) and play as many matches as my limited stamina will allow. As for matchups, I'll take chat suggestions. There will be no livemanaging as it's supposed to be more of a peek at how does the game look on this level under current format than actual competition, but if managers want to see their teams play, feel free to contact me about that or give me an export.

Madden 08 gameplay testing for 4CC is going OK

Working Features:

>GGSS system creates spaghetti filled defenseball, but games usually have ~30 points total scoring so not total slurpers

Problems that exist and are kinda fixed:

I'm working on tweeking the sliders to get us up to a more normal ~40 points a game, with more scoring on offense and less pick sixes

For some reason Madden08 pushes my Hard Drive usage to 100% and I don't know why.
Makes everything else run slow
>It breaks skype when a match starts
Skype calls you started before the match starts will keep going, but god help you if you lose the call mid-game


I may try reverting to an older game like 06 or 02(if I can ever find a PC version online. No luck so far)

what mtl files do I need to tamper with to get the uniforms to either be invisible (or just handle texture transparency) or even applying a custom texture to a specific player's kit
need to nuke the player shorts for my current experiments

on a semi related note, there is apparently more involved to making limbs inivisble than just setting it in rigit and then trhowing the new shader at it, so were there changes made beyond the new shader?
Tried including an empty texture for the "model/character/body/skin_bsm_7.dds" that the shader defaults to, but to no avail. Maybe have the file nested wrong or maybe I need to do some tweaks on an mtl somewhere

I currently don't know, the Final Boss thing was actually editing the global models for shirts, which is currently not viable since it affects every other team in the game too.
For adding a custom kit texture, it's actually another model placed on top of the regular kit, which you edit in the apc.mtl.
I've tried other .mtls but it seems to fuck up the model, not sure why.

I have no idea either, I just use RigIt for it. Normally the skin doesn't even show if you don't have ID7 set via RigIt so I don't know how all that works.

Tried to install all the aesthetics. Some stadiums crash the game (or don't load), others work fine, but a lot more dont render anything on the pitch. Just a big white space in the middle. Any idea how I fix this?
