>10 million yen stretch goal for Season 2
Why it needs much more money compared to Season 1?

>app
Fuck it all.
>>145848926
The design look more like a bobge
>>145848926
Still wondering how this person gets their mag 2 days early.
>Does Utapri have good rhythm games
I thought I would be decent due to all of the music series I've been playing lately, but it's rough, but still very fun.
>>145854532
They know someone or they them self work at a store?
I'll post once clear scans come in.
>>145851998
So R-18 bobge app where we need to pay to see the sex scene CGs?
>>145849583
I think the initial goal was just to get a TV slot for the existing series.

Can't tell if bad joke or actually retarded.

It's extra fun when it's a game with such a simple plot you'd think it'd be impossible to fuck up with machine TL but they find a way!
>>145864783
>impossible to fuck up

Pick one.
And why the fuck are you watching a machine TL anyways? Of course it's shit and wrong.

I don't think you understood their post.
>>145865582
That's a really cute shota.
>>145866276
Can't stop staring at her mouth
These games all look the same
>>145870479
Please elaborate. In what way do they look the same?
>>145870634
There's very little variance in style
>>145870479
I hate most otome art so much.
>>145870921
While I agree that Miko and Hanamura Mai have a quite similar artstyle, I don't see how Yuiga Satoru and RiRi are similar to those. Especially the former, since she uses those weird patterns for the hair, and generally has softer art and coloring.
>>145871509
It's like they're all copying off each other
It's like the same 5 guys in every game
>>145871579
The designs of the boys are pretty different, especially those in CollarxMalice are quite unique. I don't see the similarity.
If you mean the body types and age, you should be used to those since they're almost always around the same for Otome games.
What I don't like most about these designs, is that when they try to be original, they just end up looking like tacky clusterfucks.
>>145871579
>>145872047
You know guys, it'd be easier if you'd write about actual examples. They're like 7 different games posted already.

>>145872047
I don't know what it is with Japan and overdesigning.
And even when you put that aside these guys just look plain ugly. Eyes too close together, faces too narrow, bodies deformed having not enough chest definition or leg shape, perspective goes off when drawn at an angle. It's all the same shit. The only difference is the amount of filters and saturation in the coloring.
I like Kagero's though.
>>145877186
I'll ask again, why are you even in here if you think 95% of Otome guys are ugly?
>>145878002
Is >>145876249 beyond your reading comprehension?
>>145878265
Considering Otome is about romancing cute boys, not liking how they look kinda defeats the purpose.

>>145878450
Anon, just ignore them. I doubt they even like anything /blog/ related, they are just here to shitpost.
>>145878450

>>145878789
I'm just wondering, anon.
>>145878450
Boy are not only about appearance, you silly woman. Furthermore, Otomate is not the only one who makes otome games.
>>145878556

>>145878789

>>145879070
>Otomate
The publisher has almost nothing to do with the art except difference in budget and policy of who to hire, except maybe in cases like Takuyo, when they use the same artist for many works.
Especially Otomate uses a quite wide variety. Which admittedly also means lots of newbies, but that's not a bad thing in my opinion. And there also using amazing artists like Kagero, Hanaura Mai, Kazuki Yone and Teita, which are in my opinion one of the best Otome artists.
Is there any company you have in mind that almost exclusively uses amazing artists?
I'll agree with you on the appearance thing, but I still think it's an important thing. I don't think I could enjoy lighthearted games if I thought the boy designs were all ugly.
>>145879070
Yeah a handful of their regular artists have similar styles. I assume they look for them on purpose so the assistant artists can do more work for cgs and the like.
>>145880216
Otomate is a developer as well as a publisher. Takuyo too.
>>145880140
It's summer. And I keep seeing people refer to us when I curiously browse around.
>>145880140
>>145882428
/blog/ has never been a place of quality though. Occasionally someone will share something or there'll be a discussion but it's rare.
>>145883397
reminds me, as someone who occasionally shares stuff, I get a lot of download count even on games that I thought would be more obscure, yet the thread is always dead. and when those games are discussed it just feels like me and one or two other people.
I don't get it.
>>145880216
>Kagero, Hanaura Mai, Kazuki Yone and Teita
The others are fine too, but personally I feel only Kagero and Kazuki Yone are truly remarkable (and even they didn't start out at 10/10 either). Going for newbies can help lesser known gems get some spotlight, but the downside is that you can end up with a bunch of games with bland designs. And the responsibility doesn't fall only on the artist, since in the end it's the company who gives the okay on what their games look like.
>Is there any company you have in mind that almost exclusively uses amazing artists?
Does Kadokawa count? Or maybe Red too, even though with SRX the guys can look reptile-like at some angles.
>>145883781
Games are long, most just add them to their backlog, many play just two or three hours a day, even more have a collection of games they haven't played yet.
And most don't really write about the games when they play it.
Which reminds me.
I'd love seeing more impressions. No matter what, I like reading through them.
So if you feel like it, please write about what you're playing, or at least post some screenshots.
>>145883781
Maybe people who haven't read the game yet still downloaded your stuff anyway? Maybe curious EOPs?
I still swear that it feels like there's a lot more EOPs hanging around than those strawpolls suggest.
>>145883781
People always bitch when I talk about shit so I stopped talking about shit.
>>145884192
oh, I meant misc content for said games, rather the games themselves. I'd actually understand high count if it was the game itself
just seems a little odd that I get high count for other content when only a couple people seem that invested otherwise.
>>145883781
It's been shown at times that we have more lurkers than posters. Plus some might not currently being playing /blog/ games, or are playing but have not completed enough to discuss the games.
I don't know how those anons fully completed Shirayuki or Kenka Bancho Otome or Period Cube in a week
sorry for today's speed
>>145884580
what's holding them back? the hostile attitude?
>tries to start conversation about a game
>nothing
>posts a download link for misc content for same game
>40 downloads
it's sad.
>>145884065
>and even they didn't start out at 10/10 either
Artists get better with time. Which is why I like that Otomate are picking up so many newbies with potential. But yeah, it has its downsides.
I personally think the anatomy is more of a problem than designs, but maybe I'm just less picky. I like stuff like double buns and rainbow eyes, sue me.
And yeah, I totally agree that companies are to blame as well. Like, when you see shit like pic related you really question if there was any art qc at all.
I wouldn't say Kadokawa counts, but shit, I didn't realize there was a Nichijou game. And a Lucky Star one.
But yeah, Red hires some good artist.
>>145885984
That's hilarious.
Maybe >>145884218 is right and there's a bunch of anons who collect things of series they haven't read on their HD for whatever reason.
>>145884937
No worries, we have time.
Thanks for always dumping.
>>145886450
I still vote for selecting one otome and bl title for all of us to play over the summer.
>>145886635
No problem.
>>145886651
Actually, we should really do that.
It's not like it can hurt.

Great mystery, faggots.
>>145887420
What games do you think we should try first?
>>145883781
I've seen people repost my download links to other sites. A drama CD I shared had over 500 downloads because of that.
>>145891363
I think we should pool together a few suggestions for otoge and BL and vote on one for both categories. PC titles only so no one has to buy Vita games(or go back to PSP).
Sound ok? Any suggestions?
>>145892236
I think PSP should be okay. There are many good Otome games on it, and it'd be a shame to leave them all out.
Also, story games would probably be best as there often isn't a lot to talk about more lighthearted games.
>>145891531
>the characters grow up
Sounds interesting.
Let's play Diabolik Lovers and Pigeon Blood
>>145871689
was hoping the robot got a human form, now to see if he has a full route.
>>145892787
I get the feeling people would lose motivation for PSP games but we might as well include them in suggestions.
>>145892236
I suggest Taisho Alice for otoge.
What are your fetishes, /blog/?
>>145892236
Suggesting Natsuzora no Monologue since no one here played it, it has high reviews and it sounds interesting (time looping)

I just started playing this and my god, the expressions on this duck are so adorable.
>>145903781
That is a cute duck. Wanted to play the game for the duck, but still didn't get around for it.
Is that the PSP version?
>>145900740
S-stop anon, you're gonna make me cry :^)sadists are actually miracles of nature though
>>145893480
I second Taisho Alice.
Also, Zettai Kaikyuu Gakuen.
3 suggestions seems good enough considering the number of people who want to do it. If anyone else has one say it soon. I'll make the poll in an hour.
And is no one interested in doing it for bobge?
>>145910959
Maybe Pigeon Blood for the shits and giggles.
>>145910959
I'd unironically suggest some but for some reason people seem unreasonably picky with BL games and even give them hell for shit widespread in otome too.
So I suppose it's better off to suggest shit people can "ironically" enjoy like Pigeon Blood and Dramatical Murder.
>>145912680
What would you suggest "unironically"? I'm open to genuine suggestions.
Chances of people actually going through with playing when the time comes are kinda slim. I just don't see very many people carrying through with it.
>>145913581
It did fail miserably last time but there's no harm trying again. I'm interested in all of the otoge choices so I'll play it regardless.
Here's the otoge poll: http://www.strawpoll.me/10522091
Let's wait for another suggestion or two for the BL one.
>>145916329
My vote went for Natsuzora only because it's never talked about. And I'm still thinking if I should get the ZKG port, I'm kinda opposed to getting censored stuff, but reading on vita is easier than on pc
>>145916917
Was anything added to the vita port?
>>145916917
>reading on vita is easier than on pc
I don't get this meme

What's there not to get, you can read in any position you want, on your comfy bed
>>145917346
It's not out yet but I haven't heard of any new content. It's being ported by the same company as TaiAli and that only got some new customization features and an omake gallery.
>>145917768
Walk around the house with it, take it under the blankets, hold it as close or far from your face as necessary, put it in sleep mode and start it again immediately any time, handier shortcut buttons, etc.
>>145916329
Voted for Natsuzora for the same reason as >>145916917.
>>145917768
It's more comfy to leisurely play Vita games in bed before going to sleep. And I have the attention span of a gold fish so when I do stuff on PC I easily get distracted.
>>145916329
If Natsuzora wins I'll play, becuase of Inoue and sci-fi.
But I'm not interested in the plot or charas of the other two games.
Let's see if this actually works this time though.
I've got to at least beat this first route in SRX first though.
>>145903678
I actually like Yumemirusekai. Her reviews are extremely detailed and while she does include her own thoughts, they are few and far between and not half as cringeworthy as other reviewers so it's bearable.
>>145910959
Hanakisou for bobge
>>145903678
/blog/, amazon reviews, and sale numbers.
>>145918793
On Vita is it possible to open a browser to look up words or walkthroughs and flip back and forth?
Because the PSP is really comfy in bed, but I still have to get up and reference the computer for walkthroughs and dictionary's anyway.
>>145922245
Yes it's possible on Vita.
>>145920527
Isn't the main point of a game review supposed to be the writer's own thoughts on the game though?
>>145922245
Yes, it is.
And for the PSP, you could save the walkthroughs in a HTML file and open them in the PSP web browser. No internet connection required. You'd still have to quit the game the access it but it's better than constantly moving to the computer and back.
>>145922823
I suppose. But when I look for reviews, I usually only pay the attention to the story's summary to see if the game's worth picking up. Official news are too vague and sometimes only show the best parts.
>>145920718
I second this idea.

I was thinking either 250/300 posts. Depending on how fast we move that should be at least a day.
>>145928691
I wonder how many people are voting for Zettai Kaikyuu Gakuen because they have the vita port preordered...
>>145936794
Are you the same anon who's posted screenshots from other PSP otoge like Armen Noir and Koi Sentai? If so I'm impressed at your ability to power through your backlog like that.
>>145938509
yeah same person.
It actually took me a while I thought.
I got through Issho ni Gohan pretty quickly, but the other games I could have probably done quicker.
>>145939186
You've read them all this year though right? Going back to PSP for a single game is already a struggle for me.
>>145939903
A poorfags struggle, but the screen doesn't bug me that much, and these games don't have ports anyway.
I've been wondering if putting Kyoya's event UR into the team instead of changing it to an UR+ would give me more points?

I'm really hoping for one. They should really take their time working on it like they did with KgK.
Tried out the PS2 emulator for the first time, and this works quite good.
Might be an option for those that prefer a higher resolution than PSP.

Yeah, I never liked that concept because it makes the other routes feel pointless in a way. (You want X to have a good ending? Well, then you won't get 'real' story closure. Too bad!)

>>146010891

Are there any femdom games? Besides that one route in Jooubachi.
>>145990059
For plot structure, to have a route that closes off the game, or for games where it just makes sense for one guy to be canon.
There's no 'illusion of choice'. You have entire, hours long routes for other characters where they get their ending.
As long as there's a reason for there to be a true route and the guy chosen to be the true route makes sense I'm fine with it even if I don't like him. The only times it bothers me are with cases like C;R's Lupin where other guys were more connected to the main plot than him and he just felt shoved in there because he was the most generically appealing one.
>>145928691

>>146035804
Sorry, I should have said features or any new content, not characters alone.
New sword soon.
I've found the best boy, the only one to make this game worth playing, nothing will beat him. I know that I've said I'm gonna write after I finish all the routes, but Shougo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> everyone else.
I've finished all 4 routes available from the start. For the order, I'd say it's best to leave Shizuru and Akira for later, since there are some plot points in their routes that give more information about previous bits of information, especially in Shizuru's, when it comes toSasagoi and his reactions to his books. Akira's route isn't that much full of spoilers, but the plot twist of his route doesn't appear in the other 3.
First, Hisui. His route was more on the emotional side. However, I see no point in mentioning that he "hates girls" on his profile, since itdidn't really matter at all, he's also "but guurlz" after which he's all "no offence, I didn't want to discriminate anyone". This was just full of bad writing. I also didn't like how he was a little bit tooyandere-ishly obsessiveat some times.
Of course, the plot itself is still only okay, not good or not bad.
>>146053104
Now, the best part of the game. I don't believe that Rui, Hayato, or secret character are gonna be better than Shougo. It's been a long time since I've played something with a tsundere this cute and full of dere. He has a slight blush on pretty much all the time. When he goes too tsun and hurts someone he switches to dere and tries his best to apologize in an awkward way. Shame that the faces on the log are default ones.
I also loved that his route did right what other mostly do wrong. He apologized to MC and explained why he suddenly started being a dick to her after one event
His sex scene was also cute and awkward, withhand holdingafterwards. He wasasking MC if it's okay to kiss her and touch her, like the pure virgin he is. He was also concerned if she was okay after the sex. And even properly confessed to her and asked her feelings before doing anything more.
I feel like the plot in his route had the most sense, the MC wasn't also a useless rag. When she went to do some spying she didn't try to go further alone, because she knew it was reckless. Also, she was useful during the climax of the route, she thought up a plan to save them both, though it was interrupted by the rest of the cast coming to where they were.
I have a feeling that another writer was doing this route, as it's quality was better than others. Or maybe, she just likes Shougo the most and gave her best. However, I still enjoyed reading it more for character interactions that the plot happenings.
Anyways, after this route I don't feel that I've only wasted my money, but I'm also prepared for bigger disappointment with the remaining guys.
>>146053194
On the left is Shougo's face most of the time, on the right is the huge virgin blush.
>>146053304
He also mistookbathrooms and went into the girls one. He went all"I saw nothing" but later on admitted that he was taken by her white skin
>>146053380
Such a pure virgin
>>146053452
This is the lewdest CG up till now
>>146053546
Unfortunately, there was some bad CG planning, where he's covered by the text box. There's not much in the CG, but spoilered just in case, because it's the ending CG.
Sorry for the spam, but I've really enjoyed his route. He's just a cute.
>>146053649
And of course I forgot to spoiler the pic.
>>146053546
How come his shirt is still on?
>>146054421
He propably didn't take it off or Satoi doesn't like drawing naked male chests. Every time during the foreplay, it's only mentioned how the guy unbuttons MCs shirt, and that's pretty much everything when it comes to undressing.
>>146051354
Nice, it's Manba's artist. Is the wait for Sada-chan finally over?
>>146054421
Japanese otome players don't like seeing guys naked (no, seriously, this is something they bitch about).

If so, then poor Ugui is gonna be the only one still waiting for someone, if I'm not mistaken

>Japanese otome players don't like seeing guys naked
Why
Why the hell do they even play those games
>>146054843
Can you point me to some of those posts? I'm interested in their reasoning.
>>146053546
Did they bang?
>>146056498Twice
They bang in every route, but no nude bodies allowed
>>146057159
Is it implied or actually written out that they fuck?
>>146057329
It's all foreplay and innuendo, while using roundabout words, but it's clear enough to understand what they're gonna do. The screen always fades to black though.
Have some screenshots from Hisui's route
>>146053194
Fuck, great tsundere are my weakness.
Are the character interactions interesting and common enough to make the game entertaining even if you completely ignore the story?
>>146054570
>Satoi doesn't like drawing naked male chests.
Doubt it. All the Diabolik Lovers guys have shirtless sprites and cgs.
>>146057703
There're some funny coversations, but at most I only smiled a little. Akira was okay till his plot twist, Shizuru and Hisui didn't interest me that much.
On the other hand, some sub characters are annoying as hell, to the point when I learned the backstory of one of them I couldn't feel anything for them.
I can say that the only one I've really enjoyed and had fun reading the convos was Shougo.
>>146057797
Maybe she takes more money for naked stuff. I really can't understand why they didn't go for more sexy stuff when the rating is already high enough.

Tokimeki

Starry Sky.
I didn't play Otome games for a few years after that because I thought they were all boring shit.

TMGS. Although back then I didn't even know what an otome game is.
>>146071485
Starry Sky. Played the first in English and used the others as practice much later when I finally got more serious about studying moon.
>>146071485
Tokimemo. Good times.
I still replay Waka every year.
Poll results for the /blog/ read together >>145928691
Natsuzora no Monologue for otoge and Hanakisou for BL.
Both should be easy to find, but do you think getting a post together with resources would be preferable?
>>146082552
A post with download links wouldn't hurt.
Do we want to split BL and Otome, for those that want to play both? (like, one month Otome and the next BL)
>>146083721
Splitting sounds like a good idea.
I wish they would show more in studio readings with the interviews. It's really wild to see the voices coming out of the actors themselves.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9aTr9HQFUd4
>>146083721
I'd rather have both at the same time. Two months in total for both would give people more freedom with which to read and when.
>>146086025
Reading parts are super common for seiyuu events.
>>146086791
Do most events make it to DVD?
I've only caught a few of them and those were /a/ related.
>>146087268
There are tons of DVDs, finding rips is the harder part.
The OtoPa events all have ~15min long reading parts for all games attending, and it shouldn't be too hard to find them. The reading parts are pretty entertaining there.
There also are tons of Vitamin events, and Meiji Tokyo Renka also had some events. Just the rips I have/seen: Norn9, Arcana Famiglia, Love Root Zero, Neoromance, rejet, multiple Storm Lovers events.
I'm sure you can find more if you search.
>>146086658
True, but at the same time, one would always miss some of the discussion of the other game.
>>146091162
What they can't bring it up again and people can't talk to them about it?
>>146091649
Not them, but this general is pretty anti-social, as proved by that anon earlier who gets lots of moochers but no discussion.
And this is why I expect the whole thing to flop from the beginning.
>>146092998
Makes you wonder who's lurking here and why they don't post.
>>146091649
It's just that it's easier to discuss things when people are playing at around the same time.
Though I guess there'll be people around to talk about things again, so it can't hurt.
>>146092998
There are normally some discussions when there's one anon playing a games that someone else played before, or when two anons are playing the same game, like that old BL game that got a Vita port or that new Takuyo game.
>>146092998
Not that Anon, but rather than anti, I think it's also an issue of timing. People grab dls on sight simply because it's there in front of them. Who knows when they are opened. No harm in trying to organize a group play that numerous Anons are interested in.
>>146093989
I wonder if a lot of people are just too hesitant to restart a discussion when they get around to something they saw discussed before.
If that's the case, they shouldn't be. Even if a discussion is a repeat, they'll still likely be the highest quality posts in the general.
>>146094289
People bring up games that are several years old all the time, so that doesn't really seem to be the case.
Anyway I'd be surprised if this thing gets more than 3 participants, so unless someone flat out says that they don't want something done a certain way you can just go with whatever's easiest.
>>146094289
I guess I could see how the general being slow could put people off of talking about a game they remember was discussed a while ago.
At the same time, if the game is worth discussing in the first place it probably has enough content that discussion hasn't dried up for.
Unless they're just scared they'll get bitched at.
>>146095524
I think a lot of it is just down to people not playing the same games around the same time.
Taisho Alice had a wacky twist and even that got 0 discussion.
>>146096462
I recall people discussing the first few episodes a lot.
What is it stopping people from talking about a game after they finish it?
>>146096647
Only the first one. A lot probably dropped it.
>>146096647
Probably because they started at the same time.
Being "episodes" effected it.
>>146096647
>>146097014
Yeah, I'm one of those that only played the first one.
Will probably buy the Vita port and play the rest, but that'll take a few more months since other games have priority for me right now.
I don't talk about the games I play often because I play multiple games at the same time and make little progress though all of them. I also don't really like giving my opinions on them until I've completed all or most of the routes.
>>146096921
In my case it's because my nip skills are below average so while I do get the overall story I worry that I've misunderstood some important stuff and I don't want to spread false information. Also, same as >>146097628.
>>146096921
I post after everything I read, but most are new releases and usually no one else has read them yet. By the time someone posts about it months later the details aren't as sharp and I'm not as into it anymore. I still try though.

Going to give the next one to Kaito for the reaction.
>>146102795
Yeah, it's possible if your score is high enough.
What did you give him? Jin's birthday cake?
>>146103808
How high is high?
I've been averaging 2.3-2.4 mill placing me mostly at first, occasionally second.
And I gave Subaru Iori's beloved event special bird strap. Kaito's exchange was hilarious. Iori is bold.
>>146104719
Getting 2.9M for Sousei's birthday song and ranking first place will earn you ~528 points.
Oh, Iori. Shame I already gave him all the straps.
>>146100705
I thought Mino Taro wasn't GS's illustrator anyway.

So, when do we want to start?
I'd personally be happy with start of July, since I have to finish a route in another game before starting something new.
>>146139663
No, there isn't. I'm assuming that >>146133546 is from someone's blog.
They recommend three different options to go about things: unfolding the time loop mystery, slowly getting more emotional, or getting to know something about the time loop at the very beginning and wrapping up with the 'conclusion'.
>>146133546
>>146143984
>looking around a bit
>every fucking blog recommends a different order
Well, fuck it. I'll go with the second from that picture, the emotional development one.
>>146133546
So in other words, it doesn't matter in which order we do it as long as we leave Watamori for last. Guess I'll go with the first rec order then.
>>146151150
His route is only unlocked after you beat everybody else anyway.
I'll probably just pick after playing the first few scenes and getting a feel for the characters.
>>146102795
>>146104719
I'm not even into Iori but it's pretty funny to see his agressive side come out.
(On another note, god damn. The increased UR gacha and my husband's birthday gacha at the same time sure is torture. I ended up going for the first, though. It was probably a better deal.)
>>146156835

Shit anon. I've seen the word 'husbando' tossed casually a lot in this place, so seeing the actual word gave me second hand embarrassment.
Is this how nips feel when they start calling each other by first name basis?

For the people asking about Hamashima autographs before:
Sounds like they're gonna be handled like r07's last year (spend $X at the booth and you can get a ticket). Times for the sessions and how much it's going to be are not set yet (there should be two sessions at least though). There'll be some NTY merch and generic shikishi at the booth as well. Should have more details later this week.

So, are we setting a time when we want to start, or do we just start whenever?
>>146160910
Sorry, but two questions on that.
Does a ticket guarantee a sig or can the guest leave early, and can you give an estimate on the ticket cost if you find out even a day before?
Thanks. Need to cover this for my mate.
>>146169301
Last year I believe everyone with a ticket got an autograph. We'll be putting out details on cost/etc later this week.
>>146156835
Really a shame it's not voiced. Hearing the shock and anger from the others would have been hilarious.
And I'm skipping Jin. The other one had a nice enough of a pay off. I'm sure you'll get another chance. The campaigns have been frequent enough. Even i7 has cut the rate.
With the AX schedule out, any hopes, dreams or guesses for announcements?

I was actually curious about this too, so I searched around and it seems to be normal length.
On average, reviewers were saying it took them about 5-7 hours for the first run and 3-5 hours for each of the rest. It would really depend on how you read/play (using a guide, fully listening to voices, reading speed, etc.) since there were some people that finished their first run in around 4 hours.
