most of the times when im facing an invader its usually im just sprinting to where i would expect someone would be and just surprising them before they could even attack, then every other time my base would already be under alert and hunting the guy down, and i would just fire a few warning shots to where i idroid is showing where the guy is and they just panic and do something stupid.

There are so many things that can be attributed to abandoning Quiet I can think of

There something going on that we're not seeing, or it's just cut content. It has to do with illusions.

1. Mosquito suspects Big Boss of planning the attack on MSF, which alluded to in the 'not your kind of people' trailer with scenes of Big Boss shooting MSF soldiers.
This would have definitely fitted the Big Boss becomes evil thing.
2. the PFs in Africa somehow believe Diamond Dogs were behind the oil fire AND the parasites infection.

Skull Face could have blamed it on Diamond Dogs/Big Boss for obvious reasons but it didn't go any further than guards repeated chatter and the retake mission.


On a side note, I got the 'DD blew up the oil separator' talk whilst doing that mission.

Honestly, cut content is the worst shit, fuck this game, there was no real cut content on Quiet's subplot of unrequited love because it was the only complete part of the game, the one-off.
