the league system is just a proxy for mmr, and apart from div 5s, it's not even a particularly bad proxy. if you see someone in div 1-4, you can probably say that "yeah their ranking reflects their results somehow (solo/dynamic/boosted/doesn't matter). so it doesn't really make sense to talk about winrate over hundreds of games or how many games it took you just to still be in whatever rank you're in. your recent games (think last 50 games) is a lot more telling about whether you're climbing/falling or whether you belong at a rank (if you continue to play under the circumstances that led to those recent results).

of course, if he's complaining about people in div5s, those people probably consider it a "convenient stopping point" and just don't tryhard anymore. they can lose a few games doing unfamiliar/dumb stuff and then go back and win a few games on their usual ponies. but it might be frustrating for the div 1s the tier below that people are "trolling" when they're trying to finish their promos.

Here's the problem. If neither top laner takes tp, that's fine. But if one does and the other doesn't, the one who has TP will eventually have an edge because they can split without having to worry.

It really won't if the one who takes the combat summoner is able to snowball hard enough to the point where the TP user literally cannot show his face in lane, and Top lane is home to the most champions by far that can get that oppressive.

Early game most TPs are just used to get back to lane anyway, and Ghost is pretty underrated at that too. I'm not saying TP is gonna completely disappear but nerfs like this that make it even easier to react to for bot lane ganks pushes it's window of effectiveness a significant ways back in the game.
