Ken's fireball has 1 or 2 more frames of recovery. It's only really worse to Ryu's up close and even Ryu's sucks in that position.

Both Ken's and Ryu's hit marginally farther than c.MP. And Hadouken canceled from c.MP combos where as c.MK doesn't unless you're in the range of c.MP, and seeing as punch is positive and the kick is negative on block - c.MP is superior in every bar not being a low.

So the 8F input delay was designed to be that way to I assume make the game more about up close fighting

I just started LR and as someone who played both XIII and XIII-2 I can say each game feels like a one shot title that just happens to have the same characters as the others.

They refer to some old events but explain all you need to know and really, it's all so disconnected it may as well be a new game. Like The Witcher 1 to The Witcher 2.
