The Onion Knights were THE characters in the FFIII for the Famicom who just happened to gain the ability to change into different jobs through the crystals. Similar to the protagonists of V whose jobs are innately set as Freelancers purely for gameplay reasons just so they have a "default" job. The same reason the Onion Knights' default jobs are set as Onion Knight even if it's redundant.

The Warriors of Light are of the same vein. They're THE characters for FFI. If the game featured job switching you could bet they would also be given default jobs with a redundant name the same as their title. They could have made him a bit bigger and more cut, and and still wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility - it's just not common. You can see young guys in the gym that look better than Vaan even without being on juice. What exercises he did and how he developed his physique on a diet of a street rat, I don't know though.

Throwing weapons are pretty rare even though a ranged option is nice and 4* Ninja is not useful for Refia. If you spend fragments on that you've got problems.

Black mages draw aether from the earth itself whereas thaumaturges only use their own power to cast spells.

White magic is a similar deal, though conjurers actually do draw upon the aether in their surroundings. The lore is a bit fuzzy since apparently there have been some retcons with ARR but I'm guessing the reason conjury is ok is because the conjurer's guild guildmaster is a padjal so the magic he teaches is something the elementals are cool with and don't draw upon enough aether to be a danger to the earth whereas the more powerful spells are reserved for white mages who will use those spells responsibly.

Summoners use their own aether and residual aether from primals for their magic rather than tapping into the earth's life force.

Scholars were also wiped out in the war of the magi and the survivors were all turned into tonberries.

Astrologians draw their power from the stars, which is well outside the elementals' jurisdiction.

Its alright, a good bit of exploration since you can walk through towns and certain dungeons. The pull rate is ass, especially if you want anyone who caps at 5*/6* which is why most people, myself included haven't rolled for a second FF character yet since the first one.

Its kind of understandable since rankings work differently here in Exvius and you can max out any character once as long as you have any one of their forms.

Then most of the 1-3* character pool is filled with literally whos both in the OC sense and some literal nonames from earlier FFs. Between all those 5*s, often with SBs for your characters, a Ninja with good MAG gear and the two retaliators you have, if you utilized your stuff correctly and put in some work during Sundaily to actually get levels, you should be cracking +++ dailies easily.

You can use a Fenrir Overdrive to get through 2 stages of it on the SB and then burst mode and just finish the third yourself, usually with your own SBs charged by then.

Are you running full parties on those dailies? I usually train one character from 1 to 60 every sunday by running 1 person & the trainee through the + daily several times. The 5* gear you have should easily make someone tough and strong enough to be able to do it if you pool all the best gear on them since no one else is in the party.

Just have the trainee in the back row with some skillsets that contribute slightly in some fashion.
