If it's not too complicated/you aren't too busy, could you explain how exactly you changed it? Was interested in going through the different maps at some point and diversifying trader inventories. Don't know fuck all about stalker modding but I'll try my best to guess,

Comparing the two files to the originals it looks like you:

1. Combined every faction trader in the logic_stalker.ltx into one entry (mil_smart_terrain_7_10_freedom_trader) and set its inventory to trade_military.ltx

2. Removed any references to the other traders in pri_a16.ltx

Seems pretty straightforward, but are there any other details that I missed?

If you're running the 1.4 RC4 beta or whatever, make sure you've followed these steps:

i would assume it means paste warfare gamedata over coc gamedata merging folders and overwritigng files. because the coc gamedata should have some files that are probably not included with warfare gamedata.

Honestly I wouldn't use it for a while unless you're wanting to help me test all shit and find bugs; the release up there is just a prerelease with the mindset that the community would help me make it good with input and finding bugs etc. Traders are fucked and world models are iffy / incorrect on shit, a few icons are messed up, etc etc. I'll be working on getting it to completion for the next week or two honestly.

Addons that don't modify any of the weapon shit or icons etc MIGHT work with, but I haven't tested it with anything but warfare obviously.

Downloaded CoC, installed it to my Pripyat directory, updated it, everything went fine, but now the "Survival Mode" is broken? I always spawn in the lab beneath pripyat, and trying to exit that area crashes to desktop with no error. Any advice?

CoC needs AI balancing. Player footsteps are too loud, whereas the NPCs don't alert me to their presence by merely walking around. AI sees me through bushes and tall grass. AI gangs up on me and ignores each other every time.

Ended up drinking last night and not getting a whole lot done, though I did do a couple things. I switched to using the ump45 from stcop 2.8 and attached the aimpoint pro to it. Looks a lot better than the one I had previously. Also the ak9 w/ pso was misaligned so I fixed that.

Had a blast with CoC until I got tired of some of the bugs (namely the psy-helmet never reaching completion and mechanics being drunk 24/7), and missing some of the functionalities from CoP like guides and so on.
Playing OGSE now but I'm getting real tired of some shit, like quests requiring me to use fucking buggy-ass vehicles. The weapon and item selection though looks much better there. Why can't I have the best of both worlds!?

Hey werejew, I figured I should report some things while you're here.
SR1M basically has the icon and description of the MP-443. Is it also supposed to use 9x19mm like it? Also, there's a bit of a funny glitch with it as seen on pic related, basically an empty round teleports onto the ejection port when the gun is cycling and stays there until the animation is complete, looking as if the gun had a stovepipe. I can try to get a webm of it if you want.
The Vityaz also seems to have a hefty recoil, almost like an AKM. Was it intended? Its sights are also misaligned.
A whole bunch of AKs also seem to have misaligned sights. Aside from the Vityaz there's the AK-74 variant with that RIS handguard, and the RPK I think. The SVD and Beretta M92FS have misaligned sight as well.

Got the m3super90 to not crash in call of pripyat so I'm getting that aligned, gonna get the icons set, and have that for this next version as well. All ak iron sights have been adjusted to be correct (afaik), so that should be nice.

Open up the suit's model using hex editor and look up the ltx file it uses for its stats at the very end. Find that ltx file inside configs/models/capture, and look up what bone protection section the suit is using. Damage formulas are as follows:

hit_power * k_hit * hit_fraction * BDC -- this is one if for when bullet didn't penetrate the armour. BDC stands for bone damage coefficient inside stalker.ltx

Personally i liked the fact that i should look for general areas, and rely on hints, and not on exact map marker spots. I liked the treasure hunt in Darkscape (with the exception of two stash locations other locations had relatively good descriptions and i found them without much problems). Or the portal puzzles. But i admit thats not for everyone - there are always those who want to be fed directly in their mouth.

And it looked more realistic to me too. You are told to find 3 corpses in Dead City - so deal with it. No exact map markers for you. That forces you to explore, and find other things, too. As for the weapons, it is a mixed bag. A single shotgun shot kills a rookie, and often, a boar. Sniper rifles are good too. Machine guns are powerful, PKM kills everything very fast. The melee weapon - the crowbar, is powerful too. But the pistols and most assault rifles are weak. Look for a weapon pack that improves things in the weapon department.

If I'm understanding this correctly, this will prevent the player from getting one-shot, so long as they are above 20% health. I'm considering applying this to master difficulty, (with the threshold bumped up to 50% health, 20% is a bit too generous).

There are "realism" mods to increase weapon damage and such, you still have to drive around or take buses through a shitload of nothingness, the world is empty and there is nothing to do besides missions, it's still pretty fun for one playthrough though, plus it's a decent adaptation of Heart of Darkness.

As for why some want MISERY in the first place, there's a small but fierce subsection of the fanbase who have a hard-on for simulationist gameplay, as well as people who enjoy the massively elongated hobo phase of the MISERY.

It's an acquired taste and has certainly earned its place as a meme mod over the years, but it does have strong merits for specific types of masochistic players.

I turned off god rays and suddenly 60 fps all the time. Might try setting them to low and see if that persists. I can live without but they make things pretty.

I officially rage quit misery. Don't get me wrong, it does alot of unique stuff, however, it's very raw and bugged. So far, 3 of my save files have been corrupted even with hard saves. I can no longer load any other save file because it crashes. At this point i won't be able to complete the game with it.

So yeah, any other good mods for this game? Some mod with more weapons that vanilla CoP?

They're fantastic on higher difficulty levels I'm mods that restrict your ammo availability.
Always plenty of Makarov ammunition around, if you run out just head back to cordon/garbage and farm bandits for it.

That's a weird one. Could you try renaming the gamedata\meshes\dynamics\weapons\wpn_hand folder to something like wpn_hand_ and see what happens? I feel like that might fix it.

I think someone mentioned this, but I'm probably going to switch all ak animations that use the ak74s motions to the stcop 2.8 ak74 animations. They animations are better but i disliked the model vs the heffy ak models; thats the main reason I even started weaponsoup - I love the ak74 model in it.

on a side note, I was bored at work and attached the aimpoint pro to the shoker ares lmg. May add that gun in since the models are done and just requires some icons and ok world models. Though I modified the stock texture to remove the nametag part from it that said mr. bullet. kinda hate that shit on textures personally.

Depends on the weapon mod you're using. I dont know which mod it was, but either STCoP or AO made the AS VAL an all round good weapon with the muzzle velocity upgrades, especially since you can take a PSO and Kobra with you and be done with it. So there's no extra weight for a VSS

Damage of the AS VAL is higher since it shoots the same damage % at higher RPM so you have more "output". I'd say leave the VSS and keep that money in your pockets. Just grab yourself a close range sight and a PSO and you're set. It's what I do myself, Kobra and PSO
