Build two Generators and Supply Pads at your starter base

Send your troops to capture the reactor right outside your base and while they do that put down a fire base on the landing zone on your side

Send your units to capture A and put supply pads down on both slots, If your teammate is going to A capture other objectives with your units

Pump out 2-3 marines and upgrade your second base, put generators down in the two new slots

upgrade the generators and supply pads when you can, and keep replacing lost marines

Upgrade both bases, first base put down two more supply pads and an Armory, second base get 3 of your choice barracks/garage/airstrips and start making core units out the ass

purchase upgrades when you can and remember

Infantry beats air
Vehicles beat Infantry
Air beats Vehicles

Most of your attention will be focused on your point capture group and using baseview hotkey to go back to your base to begin recruiting units by then you'll have quite abit of shekels from pads and enough power to unlock grenades for marines and that only takes 5-6 seconds max then hotkey back to your capture units which will be closing in on point B or C.

Also always capture the 2 slot mini base and build a armory and supplypad/generator for unit pop increase and unit build speed.

It's more like 343i have gone out of their way to implement features into the game that will actively make you want to ragequit, just so they can punish you for quitting.

I honestly don't understand the reasoning behind their systems. They've put in a join-in-progress feature, fully aware that most people being put into in-progress games will be filling up slots from quitters who don't want to suffer another avalanche defeat at the hands of a full party. They then expect those newly-joined players to stick the game out to the bitter end regardless of the fact that the game will be utterly unenjoyable - and if they quit for not wanting to put up with it, they'll be served a matchmaking suspension.

Halo 6 had better have the option to toggle join-in-progress. It truly is ruining the series.

Only for the first minute or two, to allow new players to fill the slots of disconnected players. Joining people five or six minutes into the game, especially when the game's gone to shit and you're filling the slot of somebody not willing to put up with getting base-camped, is fucking retarded.

As it stands, the current system is 'anybody can join a spare slot if one team has less than 500 points'. That's absolutely ridiculous. 343i has shown they have absolutely no understanding of why people quit games, and if Halo 6 is going to help the series get better, they're going to have to begin to learn, pretty quickly. Even the Waypoint shills are bleating out about how they don't like JIP.

Why does the enemy AI seem smarter in CE and 2 than in any other game?

I mean I guess Hunters are easier in those games because of his slow they are and how their guns fire, but even then they have a better idea of how to flank you thank in the later games.

Because in the later games the enemies are scripted to act certain ways depending on what's happening around them, and it ends up making them more predictable and easier to kill.

Things like in Reach how scripting to climb on boxes was added, so whenever an enemy was anywhere a box, they would run towards it and jump on it instinctively, leaving them completely open to fire during the entire sequence.

Hunters in Guardians are scripted to use certain moves to hit the player at different times in different ways depending on where the player is, which on the surface makes them seem harder, but they are also restricted to a certain area that they won't leave, which makes them easy to take out from afar.
In CE, a hunter would chase you through an entire level if you were close enough, through loading zones and everything.

I stopped being an achievement whore the moment they stopped putting content behind them.

If I had to work towards achievements for further unlocks, I'd happily sit and grind them out, but the last Halo achievement that gave me more than just the satisfaction of a higher gamerscore was getting the Mk VI in Halo 4, and before that there were the Halo Reach unlocks tied to your achievements. There's literally no point in my going out to get more if there's no reward for the work than a higher number and bragging rights.

I tried to leach the ODST LASO achievement with someone else off a guy that had gone through the whole campaign on LASO by himself except for coastal highway.
We joined in for coastal highway and it took the three of us 3 hours, but we beat it.
The guy that had gone through the whole campaign got the laso achievement, as did my friend, but I didnt.

I'm pissed, but I wonder if I even have a right to be. Feels like karma.

There's an administrator account that's hidden in W7, go to cmd.exe and type "net user administrator /active:yes" and it'll show up.
Type the same with "no" to turn it off afterwards. Use it to see if it still gives you issues, but don't use it for regular use.

I think you expand too quickly in HaaH WaaWs 2. Buildings are done in seconds, research is done in seconds, units are made even faster and the game goes too quickly.
Even getting Tech level 3 and making vultures can be done in about five minutes, and by then the game is half over. You need to research Reinforcements quickly or else you're going to run out of army before you're 50% done with the ticket counter.

Build a second base instantly, take the mini base near your main and build a generator on it, use your infantry to pick up as many supply boxes as you can early on, capture at least two power generators at the start since they're not defended by AI. People never seem to start fighting early, so you should be safe building mostly resource buildings on your first base while pumping out some infantry with spare supplies. For my last few matches I've been making 2 Garages on my 6th and 7th slots on my first base, and then I hit the population cap quickly with Warthogs because of all my resources.
