Yes to both.

And most people aren't cheating, they're just twinking. DaS didn't have any sort of "weapon memory" system the way DaS3 does, so you could stay low level, get maxed out weapons, and still invade other low level players.

Don't go human for the first half of the game and you should be fine. Also, learn backstab and counter backstabs.

casting speed, FP cost, cancel frames, and projectile speed all got tweaked for a lot of spells. Black Serpent casts faster than a Fire Orb, Great Deep Soul and Dark Edge went from "useless" to "actually useful" and Lightning Spear spells are really fast now.
I still haven't tried all the spells, but it's an improvement overall.

Use Gargoyle Flame Spear. Decent reliable weapon for just poking people, but it also has a fun WA even if it's kinda bad.

Gargoyle Flame Hammer is also somewhat okay, not really a fan of it though and the WA is generic "makes fire that hits nobody ever" trash. Demon Hammers are better though they require more strength. Apparently Demon Fists aren't complete trash now, but last I checked they don't scale with pyro stats.

In terms of infusion your other real option besides Astora GS is a Murakamo or Carthus Curved GS, but you'll never really feel satisfied with the damage because it's still pointlessly split.

The japanese pyrogod has switched from Astora GS/Rapier to Carthus Curved Sword, but it's hard to tell if that's for scaling reasons or just because it's a strong one-handed weapon regardless.

Not in damage, although they did recieve that, but in weapon art utility.

It now has hyper armor, which means it can now be used as a trade punish instead of just a parry punish.

And a claw weapon art punish does, oh, about 1200 damage. The weapon art comboes into two L1's. Guaranteed bleed with rouge of course.

Everyone game has its own problems.
Dark Souls is plagued with hackers and has bad gameplay, on top of not being very helpful with quests.
Dark Souls 2 has the fucking SM system and some durability bugs.
Dark Souls 3 has even more obscure bullshit than Dark Souls 2.

I think my favorite is still Dark Souls 2. Bringing life to Majula and just chilling here was relaxing. Too bad it lacks the stretching gesture.

And that's basically it. Sorcerors were considered trash when the game was first out, but they're the strongest anti-gank builds that aren't specifically baiting retards with Morne's Hammer or trying to one-shot people with parries.

Miracle users can also abuse AoE or just stroll in and nuke a host with the Lightning miracles. They're not as good as the other magics but they're passable.

If you're a decent player, Pyromancy is pretty strong for winning battles of attrition with lots of sustained damage and AoE, but probably has the highest skill cap if you want to be really good at this.

Generally speaking unless you're doing stuff like charging in with a Battle Axe or Halberd, or cutting down phantoms with Twinblades, expecting fun sword and board fights won't yield much in the way of fun.

I like DS3 SL120 pontiff duels in all honesty. Seems like anything is viable as long as you git gud enough.

It's the one thing keeping me playing this game for over 300 hours but I still believe it's worth. I enjoy it even after this long. Most of my time in this game has been SL120 pontiff PvP. Invasions are shit. I'll probably move on to lower level duels and lower level dried finger "survival mode" after another hundred or so hours trying every weapon on a quality build.

I'm just saying that Dark Souls 2 feels like a massive improvement over Dark Souls.
It's more fluid, it feels smoother, you can powerstance weapons.

It's just too bad there's a SM system, that the durability is broken, that the story doesn't make sense and that strike weapons are OP because it would otherwise be perfect.

Das 2 has the best gameplay mechanics and variety and weapons and fighting game style fights and balance for pvp. rob flynn ended up tipping it in favor of light weapons but it was still good.
Das 3 after this latest patch is better since it addressed some issues and the mechanics are solid but more limited than both other games it still manages to be fun to fight people.
the only problem right now is VARIETY hopefully by the time we have DLC and new weapons and a decided on meta level that will change

To be honest, the only thing I like in Dark Souls 3 are the fact that maces are no longer OP, and that SM is no longer a thing, which means I can spend ALL my souls on prism stones.

For the rest, swords are still vastly superior to spears (that makes me cry), and I think there are a little less weapons variety than in Dark Souls 2, but the DLCs might fix that.

The claymore should be refined.

You can use a priestess ring to use bountiful sunlight if you want. Just swap it out after you cast it.

You're gonna need to manage your stamina a bit. I wouldn't worry too much, you have ~80% of the stamina you'd have at 40 endurance anyway.

Actually, it seems it only gives the "Failed to Load" error on the last character you were playing on the save.

All you need to do to transfer saves now is just start a new character before moving the save over. The new Character will Fail to Load, but everything else will be fine.

That's only a missed parry with bad parry weapons.

You'll have quite a bit stamina after a parry even trying to parry ultra great weapons with small shields.

I know because I used the iron round shield when testing if astora gs could be parried on its 2HR1 and it didn't hurt my stamina that much. Then again iron round shield is a small shield with 62 stability.

Whenever the invader in the video gets indicted, they'll try to gesture/do something to make fun of it(flashy cuts or music), painting that guy in a bad light in return. A man-serpent sitting on top of a tower. The boss room is filled with traps, There's a ballista on top of the tower, Sen uses it to shoot the player. The tower has weak points and collapses when they're hit enough times. In second phase he calls a small army of serpent men to protect him. Sen himself is absolutely useless in melee combat and relies on his bodyguards alone. They run away if you manage to kill Sen when some of them are still alive.
