The subscription thing is the Signature status. Whether you buy it or use CREDD, it gives you 30 days of premium which doesn't actually do too much, UNLESS you want to make circles, guilds, or arena teams. They add small bonuses, but they aren't required.

The profession system looks really involved, what with tech trees, small minigames where you can influence what exactly you're creating, and things like that. On the other hand, I've seen a couple reviews that said crafting is actually one of the weakest parts of the game because there's no point. I'm not sure, ultimately.

More likely than not, you'll be able to find randomized gear that's as good, if not better, than the gear you can make, even when you can customize the stats. However, when it comes to raid gear, it's a very good way to get your ilvl up and be decent in fights for bigger upgrades that you hopefully get.

Crafting boosts is real good. Boosts are good. Making boosts is a good idea.

Also, Architect. If you're a huge fan of housing, doing that's will give you your fix of furniture.

It's the most fun path, considering you get speed boosts and high jumping and all the fun shit.

However, it's also the most useless in a group setting, since you can't teleport people to their main city, or bail them out of a failed raid fight, or teleport them TO their raid fight with the Stalker/Scientist combo.

Don't worry about it, though. You can do whatever you like for paths. That's why it's a 20-man raid and not a 1-man raid.
