I've been playing since season 1-2.

Season 5-6 are the best ones so far.
Map overhaul, all new champions are absolutely amazing from a gameplay and design point of view, balance is a lot better than in the past.
The only thing i am unhappy about is the fact there's still those 10 champions absolutely no one plays and those 10 champions everyone plays.
Except from that, me and my friends are having a lot more fun now than in the past.

in lanephase you want to harass with rockets and lasthit in minigun. she's really good with supports that can combo her CC, for example leona jinx is a very mean lane. move up in minigun form if you do get them cc'd

later on you want to be in rocket form about 90% of the time in fights since 700 range severely outweighs the attack speed. obviously if you get dived and can't create space just go minigun and try to dps race whoever is hitting you. when you get a reset don't go minigun form, keep in rocket form so you can keep your range while chasing.

other than that be very liberal with your ult since the CD is really low, build bf -> pickaxe -> hurricane/shiv -> ie -> hurricane/shiv and then assorted AD shit and land your zap

That's how rotating balance works. I'd still complain but I'd understand if the numbers were just whack and the champion was overpowered for a season.

Gragas is an example of a champion thats been good and bad, and Morgana, and Brand, and Vlad, and many others. Thresh and Lucian are literally "Perfection" at their core though that has nothing to do with numbers, they are just a package of abilities that's good in pretty much every scenario they encounter. There is no semblance of balance in their design.

CDR is good on Rumble he could just never itemize for it. Now, Zhonyas, Abyssal, protobelt all come packed with CDR. It helps you maintain heat and speed across the map by spamming shield, your harpoons recharge quicker too.

Rumble had his ult cd nerfed for a while, it wasn't at "up every teamfight" level for a while. At a one minute cooldown you can safely make picks with it without fear of being without it for almost 2 minutes.

So what's the incentive to play Brand? His whole gimmick is damage, but other mages have just as much damage as he does, plus additional CC and other utility that Brand completely lacks. Being 100% immobile and no CC but a measly combo-reliant stun is extremely underwhelming.

Morgana's Black Shield is arguably better than Sona's entire kit and she along with other mages have hard CC outside of their ultimate and ironically often have greater item independence. Karma, Morgana, and Zilean can both dish out solid damage while buffing allies and other mages like Zyra, Morgana, and Veigar sport more reliable CC and are better able to set up kills and snowball lanes because of it.

Riot needs to figure out what the fuck they want to do with Sona.

We won but god damn I kept dying in the lane. Sivir/Sona against Ashe/Morg. Early levels were easy, just poke with Q and harash Ashe out of the lane. If you want to end games quickly at lower levels then learn how to play a snowbally mid hero. Players at low levels don't know how to end games early. After ~4k people generally know how to push their advantage and end the game as soon as possible.

That's interesting. I've heard the opposite many times. I think League pubs are more dependant on the entire team's ability whereas in DotA you can much more easily carry games by yourself. Again, learn a few mid heroes and focus on learning how to snowball if you want to get to the point where games are shorter and more exciting.

League allegedly peaked at 67 million active players (Riot's statement, 2013) and there hasn't been an official statement from Riot since. But it is to a lot of LoL players. Turn rates is by far the biggest reason why LoL players end up not switching to Dota 2 from my experience. They play a game, hate turn rates, then go back to LoL. 1. Get rid of Dynamic bring back soloq/duoq and rank 5's. Ranking no longer feels like an accomplishment cause every person and there moms can get boosted

2. Get rid of TP's. Lanes are 1v1 and 2v2 now, tops use ignite like back in season 3.

3. Add a voice feature, sandbox, fix the client and bunch of little things any 2016 game should have in this god dam day and age

4. Auto fucking fill. GET. RID. OF. IT. Are you fucking retarded Riot?

5. Nerf the holy trinity of top tanks, nerf them to oblivion. That way more bruisers will be played.

It's not the turnrates that keep people away, it's how punishing it is. You die? you lost gold. Losing lane? enemy will deny every creep they can, sitting under tower? doesn't matter, you're gonna die easily. Casual players can't handle shit like that.

I personally prefer leagues character design over dota2's, which is why I'm here.

He's basically Ziggs.

He doesn't lane against anybody, just spams his garbage at range due to insane range. He's insanely safe, does crazy damage, can stall a game for years and is extremely fucking annoying in general.

The Ziggs/Nidalee/Xerath/Varus archetype is garbage that shouldn't even exist, it's not fun playing against ebin poke mages that also happen to have some of the best waveclear in the game.

is there a worse feel than throwing at baron and then watching the enemy destroy your nexus as your death timer counts down

why doesn't this game have some sort of revive mechanic? imagine this: a team captain is decided in champ select, team captain makes all the bans. team captain gets the option to use the revive function once a game. and what it does is instantly revive an allied champion.

Former dotard here. Attacking your own creeps is a seriously unnecessary and convoluting aspect of Dota. League has denying too, sort of. Denying through zoning the lane which is a lot more streamlined and less clunky than Dota.
