I do PI on an alt and I can make a little money with it, but I've never tried using a guide to make an optimal setup or whatever, I just do what I think is best. I like managing the colonies and probably make just a couple hundred mil a month off them. Maybe closer to 500, but I doubt it. I'd guess 250-300. I only do it in nullsec and transporting stuff to market can be a bit of a pain. I don't have a jump freighter and there's usually more shit than will fit in a blockade runner, so I have to use a DST and I hate flying them. Gotten out of some tight spots in null with the mjd, but they are quite vulnerable to the t3+carrier gatecampers that are so popular now.

on the last day I did a sleeper cache and it was the most fun experience I had even though I fucked it up
I'm confident I'd be able to explore up a plex before the trial ends now that I know how to do it and even if I'm limited to the shitty cloak but I'm just concerned I won't be able to activate it

We live in the days of reddit with tons of people just joining corps to steal from them and make the next big reddit post for karma and gold.

It was a low-sec entrance that I have never seen camped before in a region that's not usually crowded, at 12am us central. The pirates in the area are all Russian so it wasn't their prime time. I'd been moving back and forth through it all night (after waiting for the Russians to log off) and hadn't seen anyone at all. I just didn't expect 1 pilot in space to be an effective, inescapable gate camp. I guess now I will have to look at dotlan every time I want to move through lowsec because the in game map won't provide enough information. And any time I want to enter a system that has ever been camped, regardless of how many people the map tells me are there at the time, I will need to take a 60 jump alternate route around it to avoid dying to a carrier, because that is all the locals use. Or I guess I can grind 8 billion ISK for a jump freighter.

I am starting to regret trying to strike out on my own and make something myself. Maybe I should just go back to the blob.

I have a thing called videofx that shows the cargo and the modules in little windows on my 4th monitor.

My main monitor is for PvP stuff, my 2nd monitor is for the main mining pilot I have up.
My 3rd monitor has all the other miners in smaller windows like CCTV that I can click have them move to the 2nd monitor in full screen.
So can just keep hitting my cycle hotkey or click on the 3rd monitor small windows to bring them up and empty the cargo.
I dump all the ore into big cargo containers deployed in space, once at least 2 of this giant cans are filled I bring the freighter, doesn't need to be precise.

I have bubbles set up from all the gated and the system is outside of any route, I've gotten maybe 3 neutrals come in last week.
And I have carrier alts on standby if someone wants to fuck about, rorq on pos with mining links and also regular shield and info links.

I woudln't consider myself a miner.
I started doing this 80 days ago just for isk and so far its been simply retarded easy isk.

Not enough to fly Exhumers with T2 crystals but enough to fly absolute perfect T1 miners, specially Procurers with max good drone skills, enough to volley a svipul in prop mode with 13 miners while making around 560mil/h with links.

If you add one more plex they reach the 5mil mark (assuming the perfect remap with standard implants) and you get perfect Exhumers with T2 crystals and they can begin to pay for themselves by selling SP.

So ideally you want to mine the PLEX for an additional month before the 81 days expire.
L5s were perfect for me when I didn't like to deal with lots of screens and monitors.

The mission pullers are basically aleays docked or right outside the station warping your carrier to a mission.

The missions are quick as shit and you can pause/resume instantly with no downtime or ramp-up-time.

Its pretty much solo at its core.
