I feel like Xtreme wouldn't have affected the series that much, considering it was a non-Sonic Team developed game on a console that was only successful in Japan. For one the game is more balanced the QTEs aren't as ball busting and it has better response to the input. Also drifting is much tighter and doesn't feel so loose. It runs better, with more stable frame rates and better picture quality. As I mentioned though the load times are a little slower and I mean a little. It shouldn't be a nuisance to you.

Is there a specific reason Dimps is stuck making handheld versions of main games? Did Rush Adventure bomb hard or something?

I'm still butthurt about how poorly some of the franchises were handled in WU.

Not even the event itself, just stuff like the numerous Okami fuckups (making up Ammy powers when she already has a million techniques, Issun's dialogue being way off, etc), the weird... nothingness of Panzer Dragoon despite even the first game having elements that would fit in well, at least three instances of "Authority figure tells heroes/villains to fight Sigma", stuff like that. There was some good shit like Zain and Geemel in GnG, but it all got wrapped up in two pages.

Gore Magala was likely Capcom's choice, just like how they were only allowed to choose between 3 and 4 for Breath of Fire (smart move on Capcom's part, 1, 2 or 5 would have caused massive butthurt), Phantasy Star was off limits, Ace Attorney for denied, etc.

What they did in the MH segment was one of the better ones, but the lack of frenzy coming into play was about as bad as Panzer Dragoon's terraforming tower not showing up in a terraforming plot. And Gore jobbed hard to Sigma, which sucked.

It's not even a big deal, but it does exemplify what a dumb idea having unnamed Eggman troops was.

The Egg Bosses are organic because their villains locked to Eggman with distinct personalities, making fights against them interesting. The books, however, will never have substance and may as well just be robots. There's many ways to write around this, but the fleshy troops are ultimately pointless. If anything, having one or two bosses with flesh troops as the exceptions, like Axel, would just improve things.
