Almost all of the offense/defense heroes were made to be incredibly simple to understand, put an enemy on your screen and click him until he dies. The tanks and supports generally require bit more game knowledge to be useful but they're not that hard either.

Laser rifle that doesn't have clip amount, just overheats. Primary fire is medium rate of fire, moderately damaging laser bolts. Overheats if fired too much too quickly. Alt fire charges the gun before shooting one high damaging laser bolt that instantly overheats the gun and knocks the hero back.

E places jump pad for friendly targets to use that last for 10 seconds. Can also be destroyed by enemies.

Shift places med kit spawner that generates slightly enhanced med kits that are only usable by teammates. Can be destroyed by enemies. Can only place 3 at a time. Long recharge rate when generating new ones.

I actually quite like playing healer. Zenyatta/Lucio are two of my favorites.

You were talking about seeing it from the enemy team's perspective though. Most of the time, the enemy team has no idea wallhacks are on until of them dies and sees it on killcam. Her callout for it is really fucking quiet and can only be heard if you're close to her.

I don't really see how there isn't any gameplay when your team can coordinate pushes with sensory deprivation. The counterplay would be to group, so teammates can actually see each other.

You'd probably have to give players some HUD elements, like crosshairs, directional damage indicators, and maybe trap triggers for counterplay when it comes to detecting aggression.

I agree that Widow ult lacks some counterplay, but at the same time it doesn't have as much up-front power as some other ultimates do. If HIGH NOON didn't have an announcement, he would get 4-5 people every time. Widows doesn't have that kind of power, so I think it's OK for it to lack a little bit in the counterplay department.

My point was mostly about how something like Widow's ult is OK but the one you suggested is not, because yours is so much more powerful. Also Widow's doesn't affect the enemy. Suddenly having your UI taken away and not being able to do anything about it would feel bad.

Widows ult benefits your team, while your idea hurts the enemy team.
