That being said I still think a Bastion+Reinhardt+Mercy is one of the hardest challenges within this game. Luckily there's lots of options to bust it, but shit teammates/good auxilary enemies can ruin some of those

Does anyone else use McCree's Q just to zone? If they don't have a good sniper, or you have a Rein to stand behind, you force everyone into cover, so your team can advance to the objective without being shot. And if you don't fire, most of the cooldown is refunded, so after a fan kill and some pot-shots you can ult again, for more zoning or for real. I managed to win a game on Anubis with this advancing on the 2nd point.

That's right. There are different approaches to hit detection but none are perfect when latency is introduced.

Client sided: laggy guy sees where you were a moment ago. He shoots you, you may be behind cover on your screen but take damage because he could see you on his.

Server sided: central host keeps track of player positions. If you have high lag, this can lead to many null hits.

These approaches can be augmented with position prediction but that probably would be a bad idea in a fast paced game like this
