That's a new set of steps that was added not too long ago. You should go ahead and dump them though (particularly movable.sed, that one's used to encrypt data on your SD card and could theoretically let you decrypt your saves on a different 3DS).

and an Old 3DS, that has 9.5.0-22. Now, I was told I can use OoT to mod the N3DS following these instructions:

Ok. I found the solution. Decrypt9 just had an update and it has bugged the injection process. Just replace the Decrypt9 in your 3DS folder with the one from here: https://github.com/d0k3/Decrypt9WIP/releases/tag/20160505 and do the process again.

enctitlekey.bin updater also updates your titlekeys so new games are added so you dont have to keep downloading enctitlekey.bin manually on your computer

Depends on how updated your R4 card is, and how updated your 3DS is.

Certain,older 3DS updates blocked original DS flashcarts from working, but it seems like nintendo kinda gave up on that recently.

If your 3DS update is old enough, or the R4 is new enough, then you can just pop it in your 3DS and play it like any other game.

Alternatively you can just emulate 999 on your phone lmao

The 3DS has three CPUs, an ARM7, an ARM9 and an ARM11. The ARM7 is only used for GBA titles and DS titles. In normal operation under NATIVE_FIRM, ARM9 is the security processor of sorts.

You only have a true full system pwn if you're sitting on ARM9 in non-DS mode. ARM9 access gives you access to reading/writing NAND, the AES crypto registers to encrypt/decrypt stuff and so on. You also can't boot a CFW without being on ARM9 since the signature checks are on the ARM9.

An ARM11 kernel exploit gives you access to arbitrary services. This used to be sufficient to downgrade because you only needed access to the am service for CIA installation. Given the recent downgrade block, however, ARM11 kernel exploits are only useful for things like emulator JIT compilation.

So I tried following plailects guide today on step 5 but he changed it again and now im supposed to be on firmware 2.1 instead of 9.2. Surprise surprise I already upgraded.

Now i got to the part where i reset save data in the browser settings when my internet went out. Yes. Most of these exploits are inherently unstable. Sometimes you just have to keep trying. Loading the HB is a prime example. It will often freeze when launching.

I didn't have any problems in the guide until later when trying to load OTPHelper during 2.1.0 downgrade. Literally took more than 20 tries to get it to launch, which was further frustrated by the HB launcher also failing to boot with each reset to try again.

Shit's just to ensure about having a correct dump. Since there is a slight chance that byteshifting can happen while dumping (e.g. instead of a FF, there is an EF which changes the whole hash).
