The maps are well designed and there's thought in the game, but it feels extremely safe and is doing literally nothing new. Almost every single character is a class/concept from another game done in its most tame form, and I feel the super system is done terribly to the point of just over centralizing optimal play.

It's still an ok game, but this really strikes me as exactly like hearthstone where they took a genre that everyone knows can make money, and just streamlined it for the masses in the safest way possible.

Yes you can. It's incredibly obvious where the most advantageous spots are for Widow to be posted depending on how far along you are on the map and once you know those, you can easily shield yourself when moving through or avoid them entirely.
