OoT can be written using a Powersaves because it's an old-style game, making it either primary or secondary depending on how you look at it.
PSMD and OR/AS can be installed to cart versions of those games using another 3DS (useful secondary).
Smashhax is done over the network but is wizardshit and N3DS-only (possibly primary). Browserhax only goes up to 10.5.
Citizens of Earth, VVVVVV and Ironfall are mostly forgettable nowadays (useless secondaries, they're digital-only, no point unless you're on 11.0).

Pings are blocked by Tubehax, I haven't seen any issues with it not resolving DNS other than that one outage.

Also keep in mind that if you're going to test it from Windows or Linux, you need to use the proper IP: 107.211.140.65. 107.211.140.065 is octal syntax and ends up connecting to .53. I followed the tutorial in order to isntall luma 3DS and everything's fine. I dumped FBI into healthy and safe app, but everytime I try to install something it says "database does not exist!".

I tried creating those title.db and import.db files on the dbs folder, but even then it doesn't ask me to repair the database so I can't isntall anything. Any ideas?

I genuinely dunno why I listened to you fucks, but I tried to go from rxtools-> Luma3DS. Installed Menuhax and the homebrew shit, only to get a black screen over and over when trying to launch it. Been fucking with this shit for hours to no avail. The closest I got was it launched sysnand instead (yes I had the config menu checked, it was sysnand). Finally gave up and tried to go back to rxtools with the battlefield mirror cause I don't give a fuck if it's """""""""outdated""""""""", at least it goddamn worked. Only to find out I can't even get into that anymore. It just loads sysnand.

So I'm genuinely confused how I fucked up anything, since it didn't seem like there was much of anything to fuck up. .cias use your system header when you play online: that's why .3ds and .3dz are inherently better, because they use online headers that come from actual game carts: publicly-distributed headers could easily get you (and have already gotten people) banned though, so dumping your own "private" headers is generally a better idea. cosmofw might or might not be able to do it, i think i remember hearing about that, but otherwise you're stuck to using .cias

but again, nintendo has not done anything about people using pirated games with system headers for years now, so they might or might not actually be able to tell if you pirated your games or not

official retail game carts come with their own headers that they use to play online: even games that are offline, for instance Majora's Mask, have them too

when you take a "private header", you steal it from an offline game, and inject it into your rom. you can get banned if you use public headers to do this, because there's a bunch of people using the same rom header playing online, making it obvious their copy of the game is pirated

.cias use your console's system header instead. if you played all those pirated games online, they could (or possibly could not: there's no way of knowing if they have the knowledge to) see which games you've bought from eShop and which ones you didn't, and yet are playing the games online as digital copies

oot3dhax isn't long, menuhax takes about 1-2 hours to setup for the average user, and a9lh takes about 3-5 hours to set up for the average user.

oothax will not let you downgrade from 11.0 without a hardmod, but should work just fine on 10.6 and 10.7. formatting your system in system settings might or might not make the downgrade more consistent, but whether or not you think that's worth the trouble to do is up to you (it'll format your entire sd card too by the way)

if you're 10.5 or lower, you don't need oothax at all... anything higher and you'll need either an already-hacked 3ds or an action replay powersaves (goes for around $15. if it says Powersaves Pro, that's the EUR version)
