Today I posted to LFG that 900 ELO wants to do Gold bounty and got picked up by two +2.0 K/d guys. Got carried to 9:1, didn't end up in the LL by my own stupidity. I can't really think of a way they can put a non Taken twist on the Fallen as the game currently stands.

Maybe the Kell of Kells comes from space to take back the Traveler or something? We already had one giant Hive invasion and the Cabal are on their way, having that happen with the Fallen too would be a bit tired.

So what does everyone else think about the art direction Destiny has now? I myself was never really a fan of any hive themed weapons or armor. It looked bad even when they designed actual new guns for taken king raid. I have to say though, I find wearable taken armor to be a fucking stupid concept. Seems like everything needs to be bright/glowing/has lights now.

I didn't mind them doing some military stuff with häkke since they balanced it out with weird scifi stuff with omolon, just wish they would have made them stand out from each other more with say different reload animations.

I don't mind space magic being in armor and weapon design, for example I like how touch of malice looks. I just wish for either clearly alien design (like lord of wolves) or clearly human design being buffed by magic/alien parts. I adore the Kingsfall Hand canon design (and other weapons to an extent) but its fucking unusable with that shit reload, I'll use it when an armor comes out for warlocks that gives near instant primary reload.


Honestly I like the vanilla design the most. (Justicar, Order, Hezen, Eclipse Maw, etc...) And It honestly pains me that only a handfull of these got delegated into blue shit when it could have cost bungie nothing to have them still available.

Hey /dg/, got a question about stat boosts on armor and infusion.

I've dismantled quite a bit of Legendary gear because it had less int/disc/str boosts than other pieces of gear that weren't legendary, but were higher defense. At first I figured the cooldown bonus was better than armor value.

Then, I infused a legendary something and, unless my eyes deceived me, its stat boosts increased along with defense.

Is this the case? Or was I misremembering? If so, I'm starting to think maybe I should be infusing the legendary gear more often -- got enough marks due to dismantling stuff that has the same "perks", not to mention the aforementioned (I'm guessing they are) mistakes.

Yeah, Y1 blues and greens will drop/decrypt if your character is below 21, but the engrams don't cover legendary/vanguard/faction/crucible/PoE gear, and you'll "outlevel" those places in a flash if you try to grind them with a fresh character.
It's just way too bothersome and non-raid legendaries are flat out unobtainable anyway.
