The best intro is ;pirating it and playing for a few hours to make sure you like it. It's almost deliberately designed to be fun for exactly one hour longer than the steam return policy, then you hit the soft, slow middle game.

If material goods will not matter people will find something else do want. There still be popular ones and outcasts. Just before I vassalized small red blip, my situation log said it was the last remaining independent empire. So I vassalized it (and it had no allies).

I used to get it every single time but all of a sudden I dont get it anymore and I cant reproduce how I got it in my old save files

I even googled it and checked the archives and found nothing, only a single mention on steam forum and a single mention on leddit

then I searched in the game files and coulnt find it either

the only mod I ever used is Grossgermanium

it feels like some silly conspiracy

how can something so powerful and broken have no mention on the wiki or anywhere else?

I just suddenly got a notification that I don't have enough betharian stone to work two power plants. My UI shows that I indeed have only 6 stone sources. this game is very easy. it is actually my first game of this genre but the entire genre seems to be extremely easy from a strategic pov. the only requirement is game knowledge. there is zero mechanical challenge, no micro whatsoever, macro is very simple, strategies are straightforward, AI is terrible and piss easy to abuse

what I do is insane difficulty, maxed aggression, max number of AIs and advanced AIs. I never join any alliances or vassalize anyone. I purge my way through galaxies with constant wars, often several at the same time against overwhelming enemies and alliances, yet I still manage to do well while you little pussy bich get shocked into inactivity because someone has -250 relationship

in average I would say I have had 1 war per 3-4 years so far

you can win them very quickly against large empires

I have 2 approaches. in early game when I am weak I go for guerilla warfare where I bait the enemy fleets with single corvettes while I take out unprotected stations and never fight their main fleets. once I have a few lance battleships I pick favorable engagements where I destroy parts of their fleet with almost no losses (as seen in the examples posted earlier). one way to do that is to see where they travel (which of my fleets they attack) and intercept them. this is especially strong against empires who use warp tech because they have a month of cool down in which you can completely destroy them

to get the warscore I have single corvettes stationed next to enemy planets so I get slow warscore whenever the retard AI tries to rebuild space station or sends a construction ship or similar to that planet. every blockade gives about 7 war score so when I see that I have for example 30 war score and 10 enemy planets, I start bombarding every planet and immediately win the war

I had that event happen with an arthopod race of venerable aliens with soc. bonus. I was very happy about that.

Eventually I infiltrated their government (because they were rapidly approaching space age, having built a primitive space station before first contact was made). The bugs saw my empire as some kind of benefactor and immediately got swallowed into the empire. But the super scientist was still my head soc scientist. I wonder how the aliens felt.

Additional events should happen where alien/AI leaders can react to the treatment of their kind. Positively or negatively. In this case an event should happen if an abducted alien leader is still alive when (and if) their civilization reaches space age.

Also, there should be observation related abduction events weighted by alien traits. So strong, warlike primitives could produce a great warrior to lead your armies, possibly admirals although it wouldn't make much contextual sense. Perhaps even abductions for politicians from species who are spiritualist and pacificist. Representing some great enlightened being destined to unite their entire species. It goes without saying these great people would come with decent career traits, but if these events are weighted then they'll likely have additional biological traits/ethics that would give added benefits.

I've actually had a pretty easy run and all my pops are at 85 or 90% happiness thanks to the combo of spiritualism plus individualism. Also picking conformist as a race trait helps a lot too since you won't have access to frontier commissars.

The Galactic Stock Exchange is fucking great. Empire wide +10% energy is nice. If you can't stand xenos though switch out militarist for xenophobic since militarism is kind of meh as of 1.1.

Yes i know that, but stellaris is quite different gameplay wise from other paradox games.
Firstly the movement of support ships to continually build and scout.
Secondly the speed of the game, its super fast, and early game is a rush to grab territory and build fleet. Combine it with the way you pay minerals in advance for buildings make it JUST LIKE an rts.
Compare it to even other real time 4x like DW, which doesnt play like an rts because you dont rush into tactical level play.

The funny thing is that I almost always RP even in WCs and the like. (I had a Vicky1 AAR way way back when where I larped a full Boer/Oranje WC).

If you can't make enough warscore to cede the planets or whatever you want to do because the empire has an ally on the other side of the galaxy, just hold their planets, don't even need an army/ships once they are all captured, and slowly the 'send demands' cost goes down. Very slowly tho but eventually you'll be able to force a cede or whatever.

I find the sector AI to be ok since 1.1. Yes it wont build special buildings but really who gives a shit. Set it to build whatever you want ie minerals/energy/research and it'll pump those out pretty well. By the time you're mid game you should have some empire wide ethics/happiness buildings or something researched. And you can enable edicts on sectored planets which are particularly useful when they are first ceded. Also purge those fucked whose happiness is way low because they are a different ethos to you.

It's google's way of filtering the wrong submissions for the given word. A few years ago when m**t introduced captchas, we used to type "nigger" for one of the words, so the transcription (since they're jewing you for free to transcribe books automatically) came up as actual "nigger" in the book.

They had to change that, so they added in a second word to the captcha which was proofed by their engine and you had to type it out as it was. We managed to get through that shit too, and kept doing nigger. So they changed that further and are now taking a screenshot of the words and actually warping them. Also, to further reduce the chance that you're niggering their captcha, you'll get the same ones multiple times.

First time you get it, any combination of letters will be accepted. In a day or two, you'll get it again, this time if you type something else your submission will be erased from their database

And if you're wondering what those arbitrary signs and rivers are in their image captcha, that's to automate their maps service and their car AI, again, for absolutely free.

If you're using 4chanx, just keep pressing backspace in the captcha field and it will restart. Do it until you get a number captcha, they're the easiest

Theres a few molluscs with dimorphism, but not a whole lot of fungi you're right.

Reptiles I can see getting away with, some of the diverging traits between genders is largely unnoticeable (I wouldnt even consider size a worthy trait in this instance, all you're seeing is the portrait, no reason the photographer couldn't take the picture in a way that minimizes that.

Mammals and Avians? hell yes we need dimorphism.

Anyways, I found a good way to roll through all the portraits checking for changes in sex. Some are very subtle, like Reptile3, which doesn't even interrupt portrait animations, so I may have missed one. I checked all of the DLC portraits, and extradimensional and swarm too. The only unique Xeno is Reptile3, with its "hairstyle" hat. Also, for the furries, there are mods for the cat and fox mammals to have genders.

The problem is that I need purging. I value quality over quantity. It is also about principles. I am loyal to my initial species and my scarce space belongs to that alone. If I could deport xenos I would.

Anyway, I think I have finally gotten over genociding all the generous Fox people. That was the first time I had second thoughts about purging.

Now I have to focus on the future. I have both dangerous jump techs researched and I heard that they will lead to crises. I also have to keep on purging my way through the galaxy.

The ring galaxy feels like cheating, I feel so dirty for picking it.

I focus on physics research. That means I try to have as few planets as possible. Currently I have +55% energy weapon attack speed and +70% energy weapon damage.
