Daily reminder DaS2 patches brought it to its peak in june, after patches that had already addressed multiplayer issues with the game and improved it.

The katanas the way I see them:
Bloodlust is complete garbage.
Darkdrift is just slightly above because the WA isn't literal suicide.
Black blade is low damage, shit range, and its "unique moveset" is a straight downgrade from the basic one.
Uchi is better despite lower damage because of better range and moveset.
Oniduchan and Dakukara have some okay combos and can deal high damage with bleed.
Washing Pole's range actually makes the otherwise lackluster r1s decent, massively improves the already great WA/running r1/1hr2.
Chaos blade pretty much just the uchi with much better damage.

Fucking hell this some next level shit. Explain to me why a game about cycles flat out lifts from Dark 1 with no reasoning? The return of Anor Londo? Artorias fanboys despite this being years in the future? Gwyndolin? Yorshka? Most of the game is just a remix of Dark 1 areas and concepts with token DS2 references strown here and there with some Bloodborne speed gameplay. What actually is new in DS3? Not a lot bar weapon arts. FP was Demon's Souls for fuck sake. It's a regression. It moved backwards instead of forwards.

It had perfect pedigree (Dark Souls 2 being Untapped Potential: The Game) and it was wasted on making a bland Souls experience with no depth to it. Instead we got Poison Bog 2.0, Tower of Latria 2.0 and so on. It's all a 2.0 except it's not even an improvement.
