Holy shit why does nobody use the arbalest in duels? Been using it for the past few hours and it's literally amazing. Hitting people between swings for 200+, stunning running R1 katana users when they run at you, headshotting people when they roll at you for 350, etc.

Just fought a whip user and hit him like 6 times with it. Staying out of range, shoot right when you see them attack and they get hit every time. When they come in close, just slice them up with a fast sword.

In my experience the ritual spear is best left to characters with high FTH and INT, if you plan on specializing in either you should probably look for something else but if you want to be dirty hexer scum then go for it.

My current dark dude is 35/35, and pretty much anything that Karla sells is great for hexers. Cornyx ends up selling some good pyromancies and Orbeck's late game sorceries can come in very handy. The new soul beam is great. Unfortunately offensive miracles kind of suck, but FTH is great for buffs and regeneration.

All I do is lowbie SL pvp and I rather fight 3 darkswords than 3 great weapons.

It's mostly a dmg thing though, you can take quite a few hits from SS's at this lvl if your vigor isn't shit and you're good enough to get a prisoners chain (or just pass it down)

But if there's multiple giant weapons, you can literally get fucked 100 to 0 during the stunlock.

Keep trying then, those blue knights have the best chances by far on average for dropping refined gems. I recommend respeccing to use Undead Rapport while farming to make killing them all easier before they go down the stairs to the rest of the hollows in the area.

High wall is a wild card, it doesn't take long for people to get through it so most of your invasions will be early dancer kill groups/dried finger 2+ ganks or host + summoned high level escourt.


Go to settlement or Farrons if High Wall is slow/shitty, it's what I do.

The game is popular and there's lots of summon signs, so people will strength in numbers to carry them and help against invaders.

Undead settlement might be a better place to try invasions since there's some areas where hosts can fall off cliffs or die to mobs they aggravated. I had invaders either get lucky or bait my stupid hosts into enemies somewhat often. Just make sure you twink your low SL invader out.

Probably running into other twinks. You need the prisoner chain and knight/hunter rings. Prisoner is good at low level because of high Hp boost and the 15 levels help your defense. Knight and hunter let you use other weapons while also boosting your defense. Last ring is up to you for the most part
You just wanna get the minimum stats on a decent weapon then just get lots of vig. Also make sure to upgrade flask count and level since it doesn't affect matchmaking. It really helps you out during games which is more often than not.

The low vig will hurt you as an invader because half health, and some of these guys will have their down scaled buddies with them. I have an SL 26 twink for sunfagging in that area but kept it at 20vig which seems to work well for undead settlement and most twink invaders.

I decided to do something nice for blues and just idle (while hidden) for a while with dried finger.

Like 10 people invaded over time, 6-7 blues. Most of them were utter trash and just got owned super fast. There was one that did a job so good that he killed all the invaders before more could show up and got his ears. The last one, though, god damn.

He first fought an invader and scraped a win, then when he saw the next invader, he ran in my direction (bringing the invader with him) and seemingly trying to get me to help him. When I started moving, but not fighting, I swear I could hear the angry grunts from across the internet.

God damn, blues are seriously filled with shitters. I feel like half of them expect to just gank up on the invaders.

Third, is a pyromancer with 40 fth and 10 int viable? Or would it be a severe handicap? I'd like to build a hybrid pyromancer/cleric. I wouldn't mind being able to use chaos dark and lightning infusions equally well either.

Like using Stomp with any UGS weapon at 1 FP works perfectly along with most other weapon arts like Twin Princes GS, you only need slightly more for melee weapon arts for multiple hit ones, and again that shouldn't be an issue if you don't spam them constantly and have a simple offhand. When I tried some bluefagging on an alt account it was the purest form cancer when you had a ebin hiding xD host. Almost never seeded. So you are left with as little HP and estus as the invader but you can spawn in the middle of all the unkilled mobs and close to an invader so you can get instantly gangbanged by mobs and an an invader who has a clear advantage you, and he can just hide and chug between the mobs. Sometimes there were 2 or even 3 invaders. Worse than any gank squad faggotry. I'd take regular invasions over that cancer any fucking day.

Flat elemental infusions like Fire are good for extreme low-level PvP where scaling is negligible. They're basically a raw infusion with split damage, so they become obsolete incredibly fast.

Chaos can be strong on some weapons if you max out the scaling on it.

Estoc is the go-to fuckstick for early Dex but it's boring powerful. Uchi/Lothric Sword are good too.

DS3 sucks because everything has to be fair and balanced for the player, EVERY BOSS has to have a wide fucking arena, there's no capra demon anymore to intimidate you.

Even the backstab mechanic made invasions actually do-able, it was shit for pvp duels, but in DS3 its just a battle of attrition where they out-chug my pokes if i haven't been raped by their ganksquad.

+1 BKGA will shit all over low level people and a knight can use it by lvl 26. Rings, flasks, and bone shards can also give people an advantage over new characters, I regularly get invaded by people who have more estus than I do.
