op here for First for best "stuff pack"

I've been making a return to The Sims 3 and damn it, for whatever reason, I am missing The Sims 4 because of the multitasking. I spent some money a couple of months ago getting caught up in terms of stuff packs and now I just bought Romantic Garden stuff using the ORIGIN30 promo code so instead of paying $9.99 I paid $6.99.

I guess more money for when Dine Out comes out which I am greatly looking forward to. I still retain hope that The Sims 4 will be a game worth playing near the end of it's life. I just miss how The Sims 3 had more variety when it came to worlds thanks in part to Create-A-World and the community.

Looking at the wiki and the slow implementation of features through updates and expansions, I'm guessing Sims 4 will be the best TS game yet. It's gonna take a long ass while though. I'm more worried about Sims 5. What horrible no-feature game that must be on release.

It will probably be on par with a cell phone/tablet game that contains tons of micro-transactions by that point. Unless some crazed independent team somehow acquires rights to the Sims and kidnaps Will Wright, forcing him to work on the game again.

Personally I'd be a happy camper with Sims 4 if they just added some decent travel and weather options. It would go a long way in helping with the game's sterile atmosphere.

Riverview, Oasis Landing, Starlight Shores, Lunar Lakes, Lucky Palms and Roaring Heights all look great, and Bridgeport would've been too if it wasn't for the routing issues and lack of homes, but there's space problems with all of them.

yes the sims studio can use PNGs so you don't have to deal with compression. But the trade off is that you have to make the areas you don't want to show up transparent (this is what the alpha layers on a DDS do). Then just import the image into The Sims Studio just like any other.

this is an example of what your PNG should look like. (the tattoo itself being slightly transparent is just so it won't be as dark in game)

Until then all we'll have is Bella looking stoned all the time, though I think the whole accessory and pose pack thing is a tad lazy, like nobody wants to make the effort to even convert weed animations from kinkyworld to ts4. Back in the ts2 days modders were never this lazy, they made working alcohol, smoking, and weed mods that weren't just objects and poses.

Honestly, if I could do it, I would. Blender is so freaking confusing. I was working on an animation a while back and messed up, loaded up my back up and it was still messed up.

Not a regular; what happened to TS4? I feel like by this point in TS3's lifespan it had WAY more content. There were expansions twice a year and each one felt more compelling than the two TS4 expansions; Get Together basically added nothing I care about. Game packs don't do much for me, and I give 0 fucks about stuff packs, there's mods for that. There's still no pets, seasons, or any life states beyond Alien (maybe I'm a sucker but I always thought the different life states were a lot of fun).

Does TS4 have a smaller development team, or did EA just realize they can gouge more money with stuff packs than with actual gameplay additions?

Both. There were some blurbs by the design team going around that they have fewer skilled coders on staff than before so they're stretched fairly thin. The rest is just EA's usual money grubbing and stinginess.

You should can do that in TS4. You just have to own a residential lot and a retail lot. So like you buy the cheapest lot, then go into your cellphone and buy a retail lot and build your home there.

Just make sure to lock the door to your living space, as customers will go in there and use your shit.

Yes. But if you just keep the lot empty, your bill will be crazy small, and I don't think you have to pay rent on a retail lot.. Though I've never had a retail lot for a long time so Im not sure.

Yes, I believe you can have a maximum of 3 or 4 workers. But you have to unlock them with store perks which you accumulate while doing store related stuff. You can also assign workers to tasks, clean, deal with customers, etc, etc.

Or you can look up the cheat to unlock store perks if you don't want to do that.
