Not sure if this is commonly known or not, but I saw a conversation about gem abrasives on the past thread. On the mini-game on Kadumel Cliff you can get more abrasives depending on your combo count (at least I think it is combo count):

Low combos or fail a lot: 4 Basic Gem Abrasive
5~7+ Combo: 4 Basic Gem Abrasive + 1 Intermediate Gem Abrasive
No fails (or high combo possibly): 4 Basic Gem Abrasive + 1 Advanced Gem Abrasive

On the last one I think it is with no fails, but it could be lower. I have only managed to get an Advanced once, but it was without failing any of the balls.

Also, you don't get the abrasives all at the same time. If you got a good amount of combos you have to talk to the box again after getting the 4 Basic ones, it will shine and it will give you either the Intermediate or the Advanced one after you talk to it again.

Sometimes it bugs out and you have to talk to the box a few times so it gives you the Intermediate one, but that rarely happens to me, maybe it was because server lag.

As a single target burst with high attributes, yes.

It works like musket/cannon skills, so you are instantly dealing 200% of your base damage + skill damage (2651).

As a comparison, Cannon Shot deals 150% of your base damage + skill damage (3300) and it deals about 25~30k when maxed.

I mean, it's not like dma is AMAZING but the only alternative is crossfire which isn't really suited for single target damage and that's what fletcher is all about. Besides, having something that is bursty can be useful for a class that is mostly sustained DPS.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt. If you are really doing that build then:

* Thrust 0, get Bash 3 instead for the attribute and Pain Barrier 2
* Embowel 1 because why not.
* Unlock Chest 0, it is useless.
* Iron Hook 5
* Attaque Coquille 2
* Flanconnade the rest
* Esquive Toucher 1 if you want
* Deeds of Valor 5, take the points from Mordschlag or Punish, doesn't matter they are terrible skills. I would keep them at 1 and give those points to DPE instead.

You will still get hit by bosses and when you get a lot of mobs on dungeons you will also get hit quite frequently. Plus magic never misses.

Sometimes you get hit by a very weak magic attack from a mob that is mutli-hit and you instantly have 5 stacks with barely any damage taken.
