Just look at Alex. His attacks are way slow compared to 3s. Also, his ex attacks have no more homing, his stomp is slow as fuck and has no crossup, his st.hp is not an overhead anymore, some of his attacks are way less safe than they used to be, etc. All that, I believe, to not to make him to difficult to casuals. It sure wasn't because of balance, cause Alex is low tier af in sfv. And if they did that to Alex, just imagine what they would do with Ibuki.

Street Fighter is not all about jumping. She has a good walk and dash speed. She also has a decent fireball. All good tools to approach from the ground. In the corner she has ambiguous crossups with her V skill and her instant overhead. Yeah chun doesn't do a lot of damage, but honestly she doesn't need it or she'd be just overpowered.

chun has the best anti air in the game by far, meaning by your logic no one can open her up (not to mention her 3f jabs THAT CAN BE COMBO'D FROM to stop people advancing on the ground)

and chun has instant air legs which is an approach from the air, which according to you is the best way to go, that is nigh unreactable and easily combo'd from

Well you do a lot of poking and trying to stay at around fierce rekka range against most characters. Fireball characters can be annoying to deal with, but you just have to play very patiently against them. Lots of walking and neutral jumping fireballs etc. Stand fierce and crouch fierce are your go to pokes. Stand fierce will stuff fireballs from shotos from a surprisingly long range as their hurtbox extends a bit during the startup. At certain ranges you can just throw it out with impunity against them, learn those ranges.

Practice your combos. Fei gets a lot from being able to confirm chicken wings (chicken wing close fierce x rekka rekka rekka is his standard combo against everyone).

Once you get in one someone you can go pretty nuts with chicken wings, pokes, throws etc. Fei has a great offensive game once he's in there but he can struggle to make that happen.

Learn how to do safe rekkas on block (what ranges you can do fierce fierce jab, fierce strong jab, fierce jab strong etc) this is a great thing because the chip damage really adds up. When you have someone in the corner it's real nice. Doing one or two hits of a rekka, and then waiting long enough to start a new one works as a nice frame trap. If you mix up doing safe three hit rekkas and one/two reset rekkas, people will have trouble swinging the offense back in their favor.
