The attack isn't what matters, the insane health you can get when your opponent has 3+ minions makes it unkillable or go 3-1 with the board

Entomb in general just kinda shits all over Paladin. It's like what Ysera used to be for Priest except you can't Shrinkmeister+Cabal to play around it.

Entomb has to be my most hated card now because of how stupidly strong it is. You can't outvalue them with strong singular minions and anything they can't Entomb they'll just use Auchenai+Circle or Auchenai+4 damage hero powers after Justicar.

Good early game deathrattle it really does help from getting shut out if you can drop on turn 1. Also I just personally don't like to use doomsayer. I run a small amount of high value deathrattle so having some extra fodder with a great effect if it sticks is always nice

Tempo Mage doesn't get countered by Control Warrior the same way as Freeze Mage.
I guess Aggro Pally doesn't get countered as hard by Entomb, but I'm not really familiar with the matchup so I'm not sure how it fairs against the other tools

I play a lot of priest, it's my only golden portrait but gave it up in favor of nzoth pally post-expansion. Deathrattles and shields like taurens and psychotron fuck with auchenai. Most opponents don't even run the circle combo, one circle tops that they'll happily waste on some greedy card draw. Value but nonessential minions like Thaurissan bait entombs, and soggoth on an empty board is game over for the priest, even if he's got your tirion. I just beat a priest playing 4 sylvanas, one entombed, one stolen, one curated and one of his own. He will not have every answer ready for all of your plays and high-toughness priest minions are shitty without cards like lightbomb. I still ask myself why people play the same stupid decklists as the streamers and wonder why they struggle against certain matchups.

You know, Rogue could be really good if it had SOME sort of recovery, as it stands it has none and that is terrible. It makes the Rogue hero power extremely dangerous to use.

I've been playing around with a Reno Rogue for a while to offset this and I can honestly say that it just isn't working out. Renolock in the previous meta that had access to agressive spells and minions that didn't need to be comboed, as well as Healbot (brann + healbot) to get some of that precious life back while Rogue has none of this. Most minions and spells have to be comboed to have an effect which is insanely hard to do unless you have a constant supply of coins or 1 mana cards.

It just isn't working out as well as I had hoped, and that's pretty sad since N'Zoth Rogue is probably one of the most fun decks I've played in a while.

They only said they'll be using sets from the last 2 years + Basic/Classic.

That would mean only 7 sets will ever be in play at any one time. 2 of them would be full fledged expansions and 3 of them would be adventures.

I'm kinda torn on this; on one hand I love the Solo Adventures because of the flavour they add to the game and the cards they add are mostly the highest quality (I'm sure this is no coincidence). If we only have 2 full expacs though then that means we won't have nearly as many new cards to play with, and I don't know about you but WoG feels... shallow. I don't know if it's the number of 10 mana minions or the significant fraction being C'Thun-based, but it just feels like we lost a lot of the tools from Nax/GvG in favour of a whole-cloth archetype being added to the game.

It's a great minion anon, it's got 5 stat points for 2 mana which is already ok, then you get the spell damage which is insane especially since it's on such a cheap minion, fireball ping is the standard way mages deal with 7 health minions, now they can drop a body and fireball to achieve the same thing, also makes arcane blast pretty damn good.

Remember that sometimes your rare card is changed for something better when you get epics or legendaries. So I had some packs with an epic card and no rare, and some other packs with 2 rares.

Rogue was, and still is, better than mage in arena.

Also, mage didn't get the best arena card in the set either. I'd pick both 4 mana 7/7 and master of evolution over the mage card.

The class that improved the most in arena was warrior. Both N'zoth's Mate and Ravaging Ghoul are very strong cards, on the same level as the mage 6 drop. They also got a 3 mana 3/4 with an upside and blood to ichor.

Guy is surprisingly great, even against non-C'thun decks.

If the opponent tried to use minions to kill him, he summons a 2/2 with Taunt every single time he gets hit which fucks up the opponents plan to kill him. He's only bad against hard removal, but that can be said against every 6+ Drop.

He's the Troggzor of WoG. While being surprisingly good, there are better Legendaries to run in your deck since it has more syngery.

The weapon pool is much too small for there to be much variance, especially in Standard.
You'll always be choosing between Gorehowl, Arcanite Reaper, Fiery War Axe and Tentacles for Arms. And since you're discovering two weapons (I'm assuming it's Battlecry: Discover a Weapon x2, though you didn't put any keywords in so it's an aura I guess) you'll always have a choice of the same 4 cards with 1 removed.
If not then you're choosing 2/3 choices and there's never been precedent for that, so a new interaction would have to be coded

It's a very small sample size, but Priest is the obvious winner here. Go load up them Dragons, N'Zoth, or C'Thun and get to it.

From what I've observed in the tournaments I've hosted, despite Al'Akir being the mascot of the thread, Shaman shares the bottom rung of favor in terms of actually seeing play, alongside Druid and Hunter. Of those three, only Hunter has seen success, as both Silver Medalists from the EU tournament and the most recent competition used powerful Hunter decks.

Despite results from The Great Big /hsg/ Poll from a month or so back, Rogue is the overall favorite of the thread's competitors but has always shown up short handed to stronger memes.

Arena's basically guaranteed to give you 2 packs at this point and extra gold alongside; I think it's definitely the better deal, especially since it gives you primarily Whispers packs which are better for newcomers since they'll let you create a crappy C'thun deck faster, which is better than most other welfare decks.
