I listened to "Spectacular" for about 5 minutes afterwards.

After facepalming myself I was actually surprised that it didn't keep the buffs, though. But wasn't thinking of that at the time. Just assumed it'd be a 1/1 that does the 15 damage battlecry.

It's a good arena card, but still can fuck you over if it spawns something like Dust Devil or Injured Kvaldir or Pit Snake and you have no way of removing it immediately.
There is zero point to this card in constructed because there are so many better 4-drops. Even if you're playing a dragon deck, there are far better 4-mana dragons.

ok guys i got a srs question. Do you guys think Azure Drake is overpowered?

Think about it. A vanilla 4 drop is 4/5 (yeti) and card draw is worth 1 mana. but not only does azure have this it also has the dragon tribe to it as well as spell damage. Judging by blizzard and their spell damage cards (bloodnos, kobold) cards lose alot of stats for their spell damage. With all this in mind azure drake has so much value for 5 mana.

Stronger late game in control matchups, especially against priests, since they can entomb tirion/sylvanas, thus making n'zoth trash. Used to be a second Senjin.

Stronger midgame, more threats in deck to bait out removal and extra body for N'zoth.

Paladin doesn't have an anti--priest tech and everything that priest has is an anti-paladin tech. It's like that since LoE at the very least, but previously you could at least count on Justicar and Quartermaster combo once he exhausted all his clears, or a well-placed Loatheb which stopped his niggardry momentarily.
Trying to tech specifically against this matchup is futile. Best you could do is put spellbreaker for your Tirion he inevitably entombs, or just play steward/murloc deck that gives him more trouble, especially for those new C'Thun decks that don't run wild pyros and other key anti-flood tech in favor of C'Thun synergy.

The problem with area is that the variance has passed a critical point. Tempo is fine when decks have fast answers. Tempo is not fine when you have to try to do value plays and the opponent drafted answers. Barring enforcing standard on arena to cut down on the variance it would need to change the way drafts happen. Like you draft 45 cards then get to make your 30 card deck from those.

Silencing it reverts it to its original stats, so the 1/1 is counted as a buff effect

Because ressurect effects will summon the original minion, it will come back with full stats + deathrattle

C'thun is hit or miss.
Since they are usually light on control you can build a board and with, which will result in a lot of armor if C'Thun hits and you have an armorsmith out. Also you should have no trouble removing him if you are prepared and survive.
