gay i liked the changes they did initially to remove armor/mr from them but doubled their health, imo ive always wanted to towers to have some absurd health value like 50k but subject to all on-hits and most abilities because it would feel more "fun" and using cds on towers carries inherent risk if you're splitting or using poke on it instead of the enemy team in a siege

i like that the ap damage conversion is becoming bonus magic damage though

How do I just get better? I feel like most of the time, their jungler (I main jungler) just walks up to me like it's nobody's business and starts killing me. I spend everything I have just to fucking escape, let alone kill them or fight them on equal footing.
How do some people just do so much more damage? We fought this beefed up sejuani. She didn't built any damage items, just full tank and did insane damage and I, as wukong, couldn't match up to her.
We ONLY won the game because they did a mistake super end game and we got baron for free.

I can't help but feel like lately if I won, it's only because of pure luck and there's no skill involved, only luck. Whether you have a feeder in team or not, whether their jungler fucks their smite, whether someone just randomly disconnects, whether they start flaming and don't concentrate. It's just a shitty luck game of number crunching.

How do I fucking improve? It's like everyone got buffed stats automatically and no innately more damage and innately more tanky for nothing.

2. I played a lot of Ashe ADC (mostly because tutorial meant i felt like i wasn't going to fuck everyone over playing something I've never played) but I want to try a different champ for ADC. What do you recommend?
3. I usually play Bot, but I would like a good Top alt. What would you recommend with that?
4. I'm still not sure I understand why some champions are relegated Top or Bot or Mid. I sort of get Jungle, need someone who can work solo, pot shots and run, but the lanes seem really similar to me. Can someone explain what makes a character better for a specific lane?

There are some nice recommendations here for champions to learn off of playing in each role. I suggest reading at least that far, but learning a little about each champion and their difficulties might help you understand the different types. There is a lot to digest, just take it slow and you will eventually pick up on all of it over time.
Also the in-game item recommendations are generally awful. Use this instead.

I am not a huge veteran unlike others in this thread, so I get where you're coming from with your fear of trying new champions.
When I started League I used to make a custom game filled with 9 bots to try my new champion and get adjusted to the character.
Afterwards I would play AI games until I stopped being nervous with the champion!

The way I always found new champions was by looking at their personalities. It was more fun to play a champion I truly enjoy hearing and seeing! My first ever main was Fiddlesticks and afterwards Cho'gath because I liked the way they would try to manipulate their summoner.

Ashe is a very middle of the road ADC and very simple to play. Honestly if you like like champs try some of the AP mid laners.

Garen is an extremely simple melee champion, very easy to pick up, very easy to learn. He's been a staple too lamer for a long time.

Honestly just try out a bunch of whatever you want, and mute people's flame on you. Any tank is really strong right now, like Sion, Maokai, Poppy, Nautilus, Rammus, Trundle, and Volibear.

ADCs at the moment are looking to be more mobile like Lucian, Corki, Tristana.

It was an icy knife in my heart that I really couldn’t pull out. I tried, and I tried, but the more I tried, the more alone I felt. It was awful. Allow me to explain.

When I first began this blog, back when things were first starting, I was the first Talon to even exist on tumblr as an askblog. It was three, four years ago, by this point - I honestly can’t remember but POINT IS, people weren’t afraid of me. They talked to me and approached me and even made sure to reply to my posts instead of just reblogging them when I answered them with a short brag in the tags being like “omg asktalon answered me!”

Do you realize how much that honestly hurts, though? It’s a slap in the face. When a blog puts forth effort to answer your question, at least have the decency to put out a few words in response to whatever they did on the actual post. Not just in tags.

I became a trophy before long.

I was bragging rights.

I was “wow asktalon answered me LOL GUYS LOOK LOOK HE DID IT!!”.

That’s all I was to some people. It hurt. It hurt so badly.

I even had one person who sent me an ask, in character, followed by “(shameless self promotion can you please answer this)”.

I was just “that popular Talon blog that might give me free followers if they answer my asks” to some. Not all. But some.
