The way I see it, Skull Face and Ocelot both take a lot of their character and costume design from classic western films. And at least for MGS5, Skull Face wears a classic western villain costume.

Say it as much as you want, but Venom isn't even worth being acknowledged as his own person. All his purpose ever was is to be an extension of Naked Snake. The whole world never saw him as anyone other than John either.

In a perfect world, Kojima wouldn't have copped out and created Venom in the first place, but rather actually showed Naked Snake's downfall to villainy like we were promised. MGSV's story adds nothing to the overall plot of the series apart from explain how Big Boss 'died' and came back in MG2.

Just beat the game right now, I've clocked in 138 hours into it. All I can say is pretty fucking good, I can understand being upset about not getting to use the battle gear or fighting Eli or using him. Other than that it was a good game and I enjoyed it thoroughly, I think some groups of people are just upset it wasn't full blown anime or M. Night shamalan tier of twists.

I agree, it's a great literal game that's fun to play around with. Hundreds of hours in I still enjoy free roaming, stealing a vehicle and starting missions through beacons to fuck around in. The more I play the more I notice things and modifiers I can affect to alter the gameplay. I really enjoy the blend of outright action and stealth, especially how you can engage in firefights without triggering an alert. There's just so much shit to do in the game, not just the two maps but the meta of mother base and customization despite people saying there's a lack of content. I have my gripes and can name a dozen thigns that could've and should have been implemented but I can also see how good the game actually is.

I would pay 100 bucks for a remake of metal gear and mg2 that's how much I want it. Also of course all the solids remade. Awhile back I made an autistic post going over how mgs1 could be remade in foxe engine and how the gameplay could be totally different than tpp due to you infiltrating a stronghold that's predominately a mazelike interior and how even with the easy aiming of fox engine it could be challenging and fun due to the enemies being far better equipped than you for combat unlike in tpp where you can equip specifically for heavy combat. I want remakes so fuckin bad, the high tech environment of mother base hinted at how cool a shadow moses complex or outer heaven would be.

Nah, some of them were more conflicted about it. They knew Big Boss wasn't completely there, but he'd saved their lives, so they owed it to him even if they weren't on the same page.

Plus, from the perspective of the players and fanbase, we never see how he goes to the other side, which is something that was worth exploring and was the promise of MGS5.

I would too if it would happen, but I'd worry seriously about both MG1 and MG2 turning out like how The Twin Snakes did, where it ended up being the worse thing that happened because they fell in love with their new computing and graphical power and forgot everything else.

Because if they remade it, but MG1 and MG2 went down the Twin Snakes path of remakes, I wouldn't buy it, you have to pay me to play that.

It's already there if you take a step back and look at MSF. Nobody notices because you're playing as him and of course everybody else would see you as a hero.

Recruiting child soldiers is pretty awful. Manipulating people into liking you is pretty awful. Being complacent while somebody else is brainwashed into your identity while simultaneously abandoning your closest friends is pretty fuckin awful. MGSV was disappointing because it didn't show Big Boss doing more fucked up shit front and center, but instead it was in the background, so I gueeeeeeess thats acceptable.... (not really....)

People wanted to play BB, obviously, but those that still haven't gotten over it will never be appeased. IMO, as it stands it ain't bad...he could've given what was promised and worked it with the rest. Imagine a chapter 3 in South Africa consisting of Venom in contact with BB, transitioning Diamond Dogs into Outer Heaven, doing dirty work for him that is far more morally questionable than the shit he was doing for the first two thirds of the game. Train those child soldiers to be killers instead of rehabilitating them back to society, etc. etc. Ultimately it culminates to the endgame, where we flash forward to an actual boss fight with Solid and witness Venom's death. You get the descent into villainy that was promised, the demon shit has a lot more context, plus Koji still has his meta and the rest.
