Dark firelink may be the most creepy and horrifying thing i saw in miyazaki's games.
It's one thing when you encounter old workshop. It's clearly defined by lore. Negative firelink feels like some fucking nightmare that ain't clearly explained and old hag being there selling base items only adds to the atmosphere.

Invading in the current state of the game is so dogshit. In 117 hours of playing and invading well over 300 times now, I can count on one hand the amount of times I've actually gotten to fight one person alone without 15 phantoms from 13 covenants all gunning for me.

What rings should I even use? I don't need havels, RoF is shit, cloranthy is shit, and most of these rings are too circumstantial. Right now I have on hornet, carthus i-frame ring, the knight slayer ring off of tsorig, and the dex ring. I don't really backstab or parry, so i could drop the hornet, but i could also drop the dex ring and knightslayer ring too since i could just level my dex and usually never go against turtles, and when I do the ring is worthless anyway. what fucking rings are even useful in this game?

The difference is that in BB all the creepy shit could be explained with the work of great ones. It had horrifying moments but after a base game and DLC all questions were answered and even timeline itself is more or less clear now.

But DS3 feels like a straight illogical nightmare after you uncover untended firelink or witness the mark instead of a sun with proto-dragons flying around. Like there's something horrifyingly wrong with the world or maybe you're dreaming and need to awaken.

I was thinking about lore in bed this morning and this crossed my mind:
Ocelotte = Yorshka

During the consumed king's fight, it's made clear that Ocelotte is no longer there and the 'Ocelotte' that Oceiros remembers was a baby/small child.

Ocelotte was the child of Oceiros X Gwnyevere.
Where else have we seen a Dragon X Gwynevere child? Crossbreed Priscilla.

Yorhska has a fairly striking resemblance to Priscilla, being all pale, scaley and has a tail.
It's not unreasonable for her to be the child of Oceiros and Gwynevere.

My theory is that she was taken as a baby/small child, whether this was before or what caused the consumed king to go bonkers I do not know, and locked up in the prison tower to keep him away.

Now for something a bit more farfeteched, I think Gwyndolin was the one who took her.
My reasoning for this is that we know Gwyndolin has been lording it up in Anor Londo, It would seem he became somewhat a god of Irithyll the 'sunless realm'. You can see statues of Gwyndolin all over the place in the pontiff room and in the water reserve.

My second reason for this is that Yorshka refers to Gwyn and Gwynevere as Father and Sister respectively.
I think Gwyndolin, not raised, but taught Yorshka of his family.

Part of the reason why she is stuck in that tower now is because Aldrich ate Gwyndolin.

Is this game fucking serious with some of the shit in Irithyll Dungeon? Fucking Basilisk trap set off by a mimic chest, room with 8 jailers and a mimic chest, that fucking dragon thing on the bridge to Profaned Capital.

I'm not the best at PvP, by far, I don't think I'm horrendous, but I not good, it's not really my thing.
But I'm trying it out so that I can get the items for the covenants.
I hate it, I hate invading (I'm mound-makers) and then getting gang banged by 3 people and mobs because they use the seed. I don't even want to be doing this, I would rather be Blades or Sentinels to help, but those never get summoned.

How do you think Archdragon Peak was found before the game was even released properly in Japan, anon? Because a whole lot of NPCs and a dragon statue doing one gesture comes to mind, with an empty space on a carpet for someone else. You could see the cliff from there. You suddenly find that exact same gesture named "Path of the Dragon" later on, on a corpse of a dragon knight. So you go right back to where you last saw this dragon moose statue knight thing and take the empty space on the carpet and use it. This is absolutely wrong, and it has never been this way in any of the games. You can theoretically overlevel, but there is no meta yet. 120 is a safe stopping point if you want high-level PVP, otherwise stop anytime you want.

Farron Flashsword and Soul Greatsword weren't nerfed in today's patch. They actually made the spells pierce through walls. You can now use the spells to hit enemies behind the walls.
