There's a huge amount of exploring in each zone. Each one might only then link to two or three other zones but within the zones - which are pretty big - there's loads to explore. Better than DaS1, really, which was often just a straight line that you walked along once you went into a certain zone (e.g. Undead Burg, just one straight path).

Go back and play it and you'll see. Yes, you can choose different paths from Firelink, but once you enter one of them you're kind of on rails until you find a shortcut that just takes you back quickly to an earlier part of the rail.

Reminder to kill the knight guarding the cleric next to where you first meet Siegward if you are a Strength or a Faith build. He drops a greathammer that can cast Wrath of the Gods and a greatshield that can wail/scream to attract nearby enemies (useful for co-op)

I tried it.

1. Very few STR/FAi weapons. You're just going to end up using a Heavy Dark Sword with Sunlight Blade. The only STR/FAiI weapon is Morne's Hammer, and that thing you wont be using until at least level 120, and also is heavy as fuck, and drains a ton of stamina

2. Miracles a shit. Drain way too much fp for little gain. Great Heal is okay and so are the weapon buffs but that's it. All other miracles are shit and unusable

Yeah. There is a trio of guys and they're fucking cunts. One is wearing Faraams armor and using a great axe, another is using dual wielded katanas and one is a sorcerer with high level spells. Literally one of the worst fights I've had in the game, makes most bosses look easy.

Are there any Dex weapons with sharp infusion that come close to the damage of heavy infusion Broadsword/Longsword? Been wanting to switch to Dex for a while now. Made my Estoc Str scaled too but due to it having shit Str base scaling it didn't turn out that useful.

I want some real nigga Dex A+ scaling. Quality just seems lackluster number wise now that damage really picks up after like 50 in your dps stat of choice.

If the 2nd number in negative, then you have a damage penalty because you don't meet the stat requirements for that weapon.

Mostly shit. Ranged spells are only good for cheesing shit or getting in a free hit or two before a tough fight. Outside of that I only really find myself using Flashsword because it's faster than most swords (and is basically just a sword attack really).

Can't really use sorceries in any boss fights anymore. Bosses just too aggressive and even with the cast time ring it's just not enough.

B scaling, I got 21 dex, so not a huge amount, but at +10 they end up with 185 + 108 damage.
Mine right now have D Str/Dex scaling and A int scaling. Give me 95 + 25 physical and 130 + 145 magical damage at 50 int.

No way man. This is the easiest souls game by far, not even a comparison. 75% of the bosses are gimmicks that require a puzzle and no fighting skills. The other 25% do no damage and have low health bars. Enemy mobs are sparse between bonfires and very easy to deal with.

Don't listen to these guys. Miracles have always been fundamentally about Buffs and heals in PvP, especially back in ds1. Lightning Spears and shit are designed more for PvE, while things like DMB, GMB, SS and DP can be stupidly good in PVP.

Besides, there's more to faith than just miracles. You can run pyro too, which is pretty good in DS3 and focus on fireballs and black snakes, which complement a heavy hitting build pretty well.

Dark Souls 3 is the only soulsborne game where I never needed to summon anyone for help in an area or boss. I don't like how easy it is. Very disappointed so far. This means future playthroughs (where I would do my no summon playthrough and such) are going to be super boring cause how easy this game is.

Lothric Knight Long Spear requires a decent investment into dexterity but is one of the longest spears (I believe only the Pike is longer) and is alright. Kind of a rare drop though.

It differs by person. Lots of people said BB was laughably easy. Others really struggled with that kind of combat. DaS is actually really easy once you figure out the gimmick for the bosses. If I went back to Iudex now, I'd probably still get hit, probably still have to sip a few times. I could go to the Taurus Demon and kill him in 4 hits without taking any damage. In DaS, enemies are slow, usually only alone or in pairs, have very small movesets, parrying is easy, backstabbing is very generous... The final boss can be defeated by just alternating between L2 and R1 and standing still.

If you're going for QUALITY, get either a broadsword or a dark sword and slap a refined stone on it. Broadsword is shorter reach and just a hair faster, while the dark sword has longer reach and is a tiny bit slower. Also the dark sword is heavier and takes a bit more stamina to use, so you get about one extra swing with broadsword.

Also worth noting that the dark sword's weapon art is a great sword weapon art, even though it's a straight sword. Ran with that weapon for pretty much the whole game and it never let me down.

Yea this pissed me off too. I enter the room, read a message hinting at the weapon, started attacking the giant and it seemed like I was hardly doing any damage or he was healing rapidly, clicked in my head and saw something shiny by his throne, knew right away what to do and went for the weapon. Now at this point this would have been an awesome boss fight moment for me in how a message in the boss room helped me, but no From fucked it up. Once picking up the weapon there should have been something that stopped the giant, like him saying something or just a shockwave from picking it up that temp stuns him. But nope, you just die because you can't equip it fast enough. Very stupid on there part.

My knight with only 9/9 INT/FTH was doing the same damage as my Pyro was with 14/14.

Now, personally this is not a bad thing. I like that I don't have to dump soul levels into those stats to do decent pyro damage. Upgrading the flame and using fire clutch and witch ring with Chaos Fire Orb has been a wild ride.
