Say I want to invade a level 8 guy at lothric's wall

I need to be no higher than level 18 and assuming the host has a default weapon with no upgrades I am allowed to go for a +2 weapon, no higher, right?

What about infusion? Is lightning +2 okay?

I just killed the Consumed King but also reached the Dragon Barracks, which path should I take so as to not end the game prematurely or do stuff out of order? I see two boss trophies above Consumed King I don't have yet.

Man, after a grueling half an hour battle, I managed to take down a Gank squad with 2 Farron Meme shitters in the area after Pontiff. There must have been at least 6 invaders and Aldritch faithfuls that have died to take the host down who constantly runs around to summon his butt buddies whenever he's left alone. Must have went through them 3 times each before we nailed the damn host.

This proves that if you want to avoid gank squads, the best place to invade are the covenant areas and wait for reinforcements if they refuse to budge. Bring 99 of every arrows too to annoy them.

I started doing quite a bit of invasions, something I had never really done before in the other games.

I wear that ring that removes my red glow and like to just crouch in a dark corner. Hosts and phantoms are looking for a big bright red silhouette, so they never notice me.

There is that light glow around my character that's always there, do other players see that or is it just for me? Like if I stand in total darkness, will I be invisible or will it looks like I'm carrying a small lantern?

There are good fightclub spots.

I understand that gladiator style player vs player is more fun than player vs estus in most scenarios, but I honestly think arenas weren't a great idea; the option to have a fair fight is a good thing, but there should always be the fear of your opponent breaking the rules. It's just part of the atmosphere. Chugging could have been slowed down though, for PvP and PvE reasons.

The real problem is not being able to find a host to invade.

Goddamn if the Dragonslayer Armour fight wasn't fucking incredible. There are some bosses I've beaten alone sure but going full solo feels so damn good.

God damn Dragonslayer Armour though. Fairest fight in the game. No magnetism, not bullshit hitboxes, his sweeping attack is projected by like four seconds so it doesn't instagib you, the proejctiles coming in from the side do decent damage, just everything about that fight was amazing.

I think that might be my favourite fight in the series.
