Which weapon to use as a warrior? Should I go full str or str/dex?

Personally i think around either 110 or 125
For normal 1 damage stat build 110 is enough to soft cap everything and for 2 damage stat 125 is perfect.
the soft cap on vig seems to be most optimal at 44 because after it's 6 levels for 40 hp.

Please, PvE is easily one of the worst aspects of the game

Is it just me, or is anyone else a little let down by the progression route. I don't necessarily mind linearity, but having looked at the progression route map, there isn't a -single- loop or alternate route in the game. Not one. That's unprecedented. Even 2's fanned out hubworld map had at least ONE alternate route to an area- and its radial nature meant you could go different ways from the start of the game.

I'm not that far, but is this really what the game looks like?

Anyone looking to farm souls should do so at the Dragon-Kin Mausoleum. You can just fight the Drake Knights that are summoned over and over, resting at the bonfire whenever Havel is summoned. With Shield of Want and Symbol of Avarice this nets you 7200 souls per kill, which you can accomplish in 30 seconds with a fast, strong weapon.
