requesting help. I'm new to the game, have chosen pyromancer and been using katana. Do I go for melee or is it possible to efficiently use magic as a pyro?

What stats should I go for as a Pyromancer? Apparently 40/40 int/faith is decent. But I need a shitton of FP or I run out mana the whole time.
Like right now I find myself killing shit with my handaxe the whole fucking time just because when I use pyromancies to actually kill mobs I will be TOTALLY out of blue estus by the time I reach the boss.

Just run up and press R1 a few times? Then repeat. Eventually he spawns clones and you gotta attack them or else you get murderd. Only a single R1 press is needed for them, though, so it's easy.

Rolling is generally better than blocking, but blocking is nice when you're up against hordes of enemies. They made rolling feel really shitty in DS2 so I relied on a shield a lot more. Getting back to shieldless combat is nice but takes getting used to.

My brother (who used my files) + 2 steam friends had no crashes, so no idea what causes it.

Also a heads up, for some reason everytime you restart the game again make sure Lighting is low. The game will auto set it back to medium for some reason = crashes.
