You can capture a moment with your camera, hell even your phone can do the trick now, or get a nice story told in a few clicks on the TV or computer so there's no need to gather and remember stories, both based on personal journeys and exploration adventures and those that are completely fictional, to pass along.
I don't mean to sound like a nostalgic man in his 60's, especially since I'm guilty too, but all the little, and large, adventures are getting nice and easy alternatives to save time and effort which will result in the art and practice of telling dying out at some point.

That is probably true, now that I'm older I cherish the moments during my youth when parents encouraged me to get out more instead of sitting in front of the tv. It's a dying practice, unfortunately - more and more I see people giving their children their tablets/phones because they have no time or will to spend time with them. Which is pretty sad, because despite the awesome handicap tech can give, the kids are getting crippled in a way - they're just not getting in the experiences. The thing that gets me the most about the intense phone-usage nowadays isn't as much the lack of interaction between people but instead the lack of noticing one's surroundings as a whole. While using public transport, for example, many people will now just pull out their phone and look at stuff on it instead of taking in the outside world during the trip. There are a lot of untold stories waiting to be told just right outside the bus or train window.

What sort of hijinks do you think Max would have gotten up to on April 1st? I feel like she would play pranks, but they'd probably be pretty lame and mostly just fun. I bet Chloe would play jokes ... but she might take it a bit too far sometimes. Are you me? I literally thought of both of these ideas for my last post, but thought they might not be appropriate. Dye might stain the pool, and require them to completely drain/refill (probably too destructive for Dana), while inflatable sharks isn't really enough. I was thinking something more like putting a full outdoor table/chairs set at the bottom of the pool (requiring a little bit of time to remove, but not much) ... but I dunno.
A more outrageous idea I thought of was them releasing ducks (or even maybe otters?!) into the pool over night ... but the chlorine would probably not be good for them.

I once played a prank (not April 1st) on one of my relatives by giving them a big bottle of alcohol, but using an empty bottle that I had filled with root beer. I figure Max could play a similar trick on Chloe.

I don't know how long they could spend in a photo. But they could relieve certain moments. They could probably go back to a time when William was still alive and Chloe could spend some time with her father one last time. Or if they had a particular moment they wanted to relieve they could do it.
But keep in mind that each time they go to the pat they need to play catchup and get back the present (The "Autopilot") so if they go back to a moment too far in the past they may lose out on new memories. So I would only advise doing it once or twice.
Unless Max learns a way to control her power even more and find a way to avoid all of that. Which is entirely possible, it's all in our imagination anyway. So I think Max would find a way to do whatever she wanted; rewinding certain objects/ people, being able to jump into any photo even if she wasn't in it, rewinding without causing any problems, jumping straight back to the present, etc. They could go on dates in whatever era or place they wanted as long as they had a photo.

Just played the Vic rout in the VN.
I dunno. I've never played a VN before, I didn't expect it to be quite so text heavy and choice light. Considering there's no (even illusionary) interaction througout such huge chunks of conversation, it feel like it'd be a lot easier to digest if it was JUST big chunks of text until you get to the choice at the bottom, like a CYOA book, instead of being endless and endless little strips of text along with images that aren't actually depicting the actions being described.
But that's just the genre, I'm guessing, and personal preference. Not really a criticism.
But all in all, I dunno. It feels like a shit load of effort just for a result that's pretty much just a short, tame, unremarkable ship-fic - and one that's incredibly limited by the medium it's told in.
It's still incredibly cool that they did it, just on principle, but I'm not sure I want to sink the time into exploring other routs.

This just occurred to me. You know how the devs said they added more Victoria scenes because fans responded to her so much? And how it makes so little sense for her to be Jefferson's target, considering she's not his type at all and he seems to resent the fact that he even bothered trying?
Do you think maybe Dana was originally supposed to be his next target, and they switched her out because fans didn't take much notice of her?
Dana had a much bigger role in episode 1-3, she even encourages us to spill the beans on the investigation when talking in episode 3. But then she gets sidelined and ends up completely inconsequential by the end. It just seems like an odd trajectory compared to other background characters.
She's pretty much a reincarnation of Rachel both physically and in personality. She transcends cliques, hanging out with skaters, being a Vortex member but Hayden needing to beg her to attend parties. She's sexually active while also maintaining a sense of innocence.
In episode 2, she makes a strange cameo in Jefferson's classroom being photographed by students, and an ability to mention her to Kate was cut from the beta version. The episode 4 promo was entirely focussed on her at the party, instead of Victoria or just the Vortex club in general. And we know episode 4 was when significant changes began being made from the location leaks. Maybe dragging Dana into it seemed too complicated and broad, compared to keeping it limited to characters the audience already knew and liked.
Pure speculation, probably nothing. It just really seemed to be heading towards Dana being next on the list until episode 4 came out, and there's just so much about the Vic situation that is completely batshit.
Even if, like, maybe the next victim was going to be determinant on whether Max spilled the beans about Nathan to Vic, causing her to become a potential problem for Jefferson to get rid of instead of Dana - but the scenario got cut down for logistics.
