I just watched the Pontiff Sulyvahn fight, it would be such a great fight if he went invincible when creating his clone. But since that doesn't happen, you can do so much damage to him as it's spawning and nearly kill the clone, rendering it useless and making the whole move just a massive opening to kill the boss.

BEFORE killing the Greatwood, go through the settlement until you end up at that area where 3-5 of those bandit fuckers are throwing knives at you with the ladder straight ahead. Go up to the ladder but instead of climbing it, take a left and go around the back of the building. Talk to the NPC cage monster and he'll supposedly ask you if you're hollow. Say yes and he'll say some shit like "jump into the cage to stay under nana's shadow" or something like that. There's a fence right next to him where one of the tall hollows in red is taking bodies and putting them in a giant cage on his back. Go back to the ladder and climb it this time, jump down onto the part of land where the hollow was and you'll supposedly get a prompt to get into the cage on the hollow's back. Once you're in he'll take you to the Moundmaker's area, where the Holy Knight Hodrick NPC will give you the covenant patch.

If you fight the Greatwood and enter phase 2 where he crashes through the floor, he'll kill the NPC and you can't join, only access the altar.

I won't bother calling it out because what's the point of arguing with denial. This guy is right, every iteration of this series casualizes it more and more. I watch streamers spam the shit out of dodge rolls yesterday because they take no stamina. 3 panic rolls is just as effective as one good one. Even with cloth armor you can facetank half of the game, NPC damage is not punishing at all.

Alright so Miracles are pretty useful except for the attack ones. The best fucking part is that Second Chance is back for 15 Faith and two Attunement shots. Whats better is that you can use it at a bonfire and sit right back down and it doesn't go away and regen the FP you used to cast it.

It basically functions as a get out of jail free card and every Ash Flask you have is a free survive one killing blow.

You can invade anybody who's in LoC form, but the invasion list prioritizes hosts with summons. If somebody has white phantoms in they're world, you're more likely to invade them than a solo host.

Forgot to mention that the pivot is just the L1. The L2 is a 0 FP parry using the dagger, and the R1 is just a regular UGS swing. The L1 animation depends on how far into a combo you are. The L1 L1 is what's shown there, and it has a third L1 where you flip into the air and do a vertical slam. If you R1 R1 L1, the L1 will come out as that slam instead of the pivot swing.

Lightning Spears are worse than DaS2 spears with the additional caveat that every time you use one you are burning through a quarter or third of your mana bar instead of just wasting an attunement slot. So far I haven't found any but Blessed Gems scale with faith but otherwise nothing I've seen. Miracles in general are pretty good though if you don't plan on using them to kill enemies directly and the utility of tears of denial which is a free rez plus healing in general in tremendous.

Miracles seem to be pretty much entirely support this time around. The offensive miracles seem to just be about giving you a ranged option despite it being less damaging than the starting longswords R1 while you have the ring on that boosts miracle damages. Miracles are there to support you basically so I wouldn't plan on being a miracle caster as anything other than a backup.
