Putting aside the ethical aspect of the currency tab for a second, can anyone explain/convince me why would anyone EVER need one? My currency tab is never ever CLOSE to being full. Currency is constantly traded, converted, consumed.

Let's do the math:
- A normal tab has 12x12 = 144 slots
- Let's assume 5 slots for exalts (50 exalts)
- Let's assume 5 slots for regals (50 regals)
- Let's assume 5 slots for for chisels (100 chisels)
- Let's assume 20 slots for chaos (200 chaos)
- Let's assume 20 slots for alch (200 alchs)
- Let's assume 20 slots for alts (400 alts)
- Let's assume 20 slots for for misc currencies (200 vaal orbs/scourings/chances/blessed/divines)
- Let's assume 25 slots for jews (500 jews)
- Let's assume 25 slots for fuses (500 fuses)

Are you telling me you need MORE than one tab for this?

Currency Tabs are no more P2W than normal stash tabs are

If you had that much in tabs 95%+ of them would be empty and you still wouldn't be able to enjoy yourself.

Most players can't fill 20-30 tabs and if they do chances are they are hoarding gear they will never use or will never sell.

Only the most dedicated, i.e. autistic, players can manage and fill more tabs with useful items. Don't worry though, these are the types who will always be far ahead of you in any game regardless of any p2w feature.

Name a single pay to win game and you'll realize they're all "pay to convenience" as many like to call it. Archeage? Huge backlash for p2w elements on release, one of the worst f2p games release ever after backstepping on their amazing beta. Now they have p2w elements where you can pay money to save hours of time.

Those cash shop games that use an "energy" system that regenerates every hour? Are those p2w? Yes they are. You grind chaos recipes up until you have enough chaos to buy exalts

then you buy the item you want

dont ever expect a useful item to drop for you, it will NEVER happen

This is what you are going to do for 99.9% of the game

If you have p2w stash you can store all the crappy uniques you find along the way and sell them for 1 or 2 chaos which will accelerate the grind considerably

Essentially you are going to have a 9 5 job grinding chaos , you can hit lvl 90+ and still not have all the gear you needed, not even luxury or super rare stuff

Since they want to jew people with stash tabs and probably benefit from RMT the whole game is one gigantic mess

They could integrate their MTX to steam market and make money there but no, better ruin the game and fuck the players

Let's say we were having a treasure hunt, and we were against each other.

The people running the treasure hunt are selling backpacks, so you can carry the treasures easier - although people are perfectly able to carry all the treasures in this hunt without a backpack fine, but you decide to purchase one because you keep doing these hunts over and over again, collecting more treasures.

It just makes it easier for you since you have a lot of stuff now, but it has no real effect on giving you an advantage in this hunt against people who have done it only a few times - the great items you have collected have come from you dedication towards playing more of these hunts. Another contender could very well be part of the hunts for as long as you have and had found the same amount or more great items, especially with how many styles of playing there are.

Other players don't see it impacting the way you play with them, so they're not bothered by it - although if they continue to run the hunts it might be a good idea for them to get one in the future too.

Is an extra backpack to store your goods giving you an advantage? Yes, but nowhere near the fraction the advantage of playing for longer gives you, and certainly not enough to warrant arguing about because a variety of playstyles could supersede needing lots of items.

The ONLY issue surrounding tabs is that the trading feature is something that should be available to every player from square 1. I have 17 premium tabs and am happy with my purchase, but, having also used 3rd party garbage and the forums, I think our free-to-play brothers should be able to share in the benefits of a somewhat sensible trading system.

Currency tabs are basically just a cheaper version of buying a bunch of tabs specifically for currency.
