Invading has turned from pvp to griefing. It's no longer about killing a player, it's now about making them take estus drinks / use up FP.
Hopefully there's no invasion cooldown to compensate, so hosts get invaded constantly with co-op phantoms.

Cinder, it's similar to human form in DeS. I say DeS because the ember works more like the stone of ephemeral eyes than humanity, it increases your max health but you can't use it to heal yourself once you're already in cinder mode.

You should also know that there's a separate hollowing mechanic that's apparently way new and different. AFAIK Vaati's covered it in the most detail and even he doesn't know much about it. Maybe streamers have uncovered something since then, but if so I'm not aware of it.

Keep in mind folks, WAs may be the same across several weapons (for example one of the great swords has Stance like the longsword), but the effects are still different, Stance with the greatsword has longer startups but greater damage/more effective super armour too. So a greataxe with war cry probably gives you greater damage/poise damage than the standard hand/battle axe. Some movesets may also change, the club WA moveset is different than the axes, despite being the 'same'.

DaS 1 PC I never got invaded. DaS 2 day fucking one I never got invaded. Had good internet connection and everything. Why are they taking such a strong stance against invaders that rarely affect new players?

So what's stopped people from not having upgraded weapons but having OP magic and stuff instead. There are details we aren't hearing yet, especially with which weapon it counts as being upgraded and if dropping it effects that.

You are still bound by level so you can't use high INT/FAITH spells with enough attunment to get the mana to cast them. Plus since your catalyst still has upgrades, your fancy nuke spell is useless if they dodge it unless it's something as cheap as pre-nerf forbidden sun.

Very beautiful. It's so far the only new weapon in Dark Souls 3 that doesn't look like utter shit and has a weighty, grounded moveset. Even without any sound whatsoever, you can totally feel the effort and weight being put into every swing.

Everything else, like that Pontiff scimitar, is silly and anime as fuck. It looks like something that belongs in a floaty Dynasty Warriors game instead of a weighty Souls game.

Actually, that makes it worse/better. If the number of Estus doesn't scale to the host, then twinks can run around with 15 sippies of health/mana compared to the host and phantom's 5. But it's still 3v1 so the total sippies are the same and it definitely limits you casts unless Ashen Sippies (we need a new name for this) give flat mana boosts.

It's always some shitlords coming with their overpowered builds and characters to own someone like me just trying to play the game normally and explore, all I get is my progress ruined and have to restart.
