Do the Rune Factory 4 and MHX cias in the pastebin work? After installing the MHX and update cia on my 3ds, trying to boot the game causes the 3ds to crash. Also the Rune Factory 4 comes in 2 parts with the second being corrupted.

There are some minor bugs like ellipses showing up as question marks, and when referring to your avatar, both pronouns will show up instead of one. Also no English voices, if you're into that sort of thing. I haven't noticed anything else.
I'm not sure which version is better regarding censorship. You'd have to look it up. All I know is that the NA version took out the interaction from rubbing your units' faces. so you just get the relationship bonus immediately.

As long as it's the screen that's broken (rather than the connection on the mobo), sure. Technically, the only two things you need to keep are the main CPU and the eMMC, everything else can be freely exchanged at will. What do you mean? None of the games will run on that 2.1 NAND, obviously, and that's about the only way you could tell that it's actually working. If you don't get an error saying it can't recognize the SD card then you should be good to go. If you do, you might have to try a different card, like the one that came with your 3DS (you only need OTPhelper and the 9.2 pristine SysNAND backup on it).

The browser exploit is somewhat unstable on 2.1, it can take a few tries (and possibly a wipe of browser data).

Most of the CFW/homebrew tools themselves are English-only.

What you need to know is how to set up system for the first time, how to set up internet and how not to update your system by accident. Not particularly hard. You can also use Google Translate on your phone to help with translating.

You can region-change after it's all set up and done, but it's obnoxious.

I didn't redownload the games on the emuNAND, they were there from the beginning. I actually had the ambassador games legit.
They just got wiped from the sysNAND when I formatted.
Guess that means I do need to get the CIA files for them and install them to the sysNAND myself.

Rune Factory is good but I hated some of the primitive mechanics. The first game requires you to hold down the L button to dash; the second game realized how shitty that was and turned it into a toggle.

Rune Factory Frontier on the Wii had a godawful system called Runeys which just about ruin the game because you're spending half your time just managing the fucking Runeys to make sure all your shit stays in prosperity. If you play that one I recommend using Ocarina to max runeys in every area and play it like a normal Rune Factory game.
