n3ds here on 9.2 and cannot for the life of me get cfw working. I get to the emunand9 part on every tutorial and it will never load. I've tried the three latest versions of emunand9 and none of them will load after 50 attempts on each version. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

"Just use a card" is easier said than done because there's exactly one physical US card shipping 9.0-9.2. And it's Smash, which comes in a whole bunch of different revisions including both higher and lower versions. there are two levels of access homebrew can have

first is userland. anything launched through the homebrew launcher or through *hax is this. it has the same access a game would have. we get to it by exploiting flaws that let us hijack execution of a game or system title.

second is system level. this generally involves breaking out of userland homebrew using system exploits.

all *hax are userland hax, including oot3dhax. they let you run custom homebrew, but you can't install anything to the home menu (with a few exceptions).

the exceptions:
you can install anything that has a valid cryptographic signature signed by nintendo. this means games you've bought from the eshop and dumped, "legit" cias (there are about 20), and system updates.

with system access, we can patch the system so it doesn't bother looking at the cryptographic signature, which lets us install ANYTHING. right now, we only have a way to do this on 9.2. however, we have exploits that let us downgrade to this all the way up to 10.7.

After downgrading to the required 9.2 I can't get into home brew via browserhax since it started showing the little slider in the top left most of the page.

If you liked Fantasy Life, then Rune Factory 4 is basically an even better version of those kind of games. That one's for sure up your alley.

So back when I was first learning to hack 3DS's, when I got to the EmuNAND portion where you reinstall theme data to get past the black screen, I didn't know I needed to do this, and ended up formatting my EmuNAND portion of my SD card (killing my save data) in order to proceed. That said, I have everything backed up on my PC, so my question is, is there a tool I can use to extract my old save data from my old SD card backup and put it on my current SD card for use with games?

I am sorry. I am using the newest versions linked to in the guide. This Decrypt9 "Decrypt9WIP all-in-one 20160309", FBI 14.1.7 and the latest Universal Inject Generator. I followed the guide, inserted the FBI.cia and the hs.app into the input folder and executed the "go.sh" file in terminal on mac. Reposting my issue from last bread.

Trying to downgrade a n3DS v9.9U using the guide linked in the pastebin. I got up to the cia checks and the system locked up. Waited about 20 mins and I restarted the system. When it came back on, I only saw the homescreen for about 2 seconds and then crash with "An error has occured." Rebooted without the SD card and same thing happened. Hell I can still hear the music in the back.
When I tried to boot into safe mode, I don't get passed the black screens but my power and wifi lights do come up. Activating menuhax on boot gives the same error.

Yes I'm using the proper files for my version. Would anyone have some ideas on what I should try? I don't wanna go back to my o3DS as I have huge ass hands.
